    People don’t want you to know that these 3 songs are the sole contents of the voyager golden record sent to outer space by nasa for aliens to find.

    Everyone's Favorite MIXTAPE

    initially just seeing the line up of tracks I assume I wasn't going to like this very much, mostly because a lot of it is the kind of rap that I'm not very into. That being said I was pleasantly surprised by a large majority of this!

    I think one thing that really helped me is that the song diggle chose from the subgenres that I'm not a fan of all had pretty hooky flows which is usually what keeps me grounded in songs where the lyrics don't matter as much, that's why Travis, Future, Carti, Year etc. are all very hit or miss for me, it heavily depends on the cadence they have for the song.

    For a white boy I've listened to to aggressively little MF Doom so it was fun to have of rap gymnastics/overall great schemes like that and Remember Me to break up the pacing a bit.

    I'm not familiar with Ka$hdami but I dug B.O.A. it was a pleasant surprise to get that from someone I don't know which is all I wanted from this thread in the first place! Hey Now goes without saying, I liked Flex and I think self titled is my favorite era of Carti from the bits I've heard, I enjoy the chill production more than the rage beats but even if he doesn't always hit for me I do appreciate that he paved a big lane for rappers to get weird with it in appearance and delivery and s---. I just wish in resulted in less direct copycats and more people trying to make their own lane.

    I wanna give big compliments to the Kiss pick, Great Expectations is nowhere near the first pick that comes to mind when it comes to the band but it's a great one especially live.

    Come To Life is a sweet song that Idr cause I only listened to that album once, I enjoyed it much more than I thought I was going to when it started. Goodbye Yellow Brick Road also goes without saying, omega level classic.

    I am a certified Olivia Rodrigo enjoyer so I'm happy to see making the bed on here, putting it back to back with a Taylor song was a good idea. As I've said before I don't like Taylor Swift but I suspect I'll Folklore and Evermore when I eventually get around to them and I think this solidifies that comment, I think the slower folky music works much better for her voice and writing style and it was a highlight of the playlist in terms of things that I was surprised I enjoyed. --- is a blind spot but what are you so afraid of is a good closer and I really like the more singing tracks from him.

    FAVORITE SONGS: B.O.A., Hey Now, Great Expectations seven, What Are You So Afraid Of, Goodbye Yellow Brick Road

    RATING
    8/10

    @Justin Trudeau Trudeau Tape

    God I love the old school feeling a lot of this has. Classic songs all around, songs I haven't heard in a long time and some new ones.

    Ain't that a shame - love it, 9/10
    Running w the Devil - honestly never heard this one for so long, really like it, 8/10
    Evil Woman, what else is there to say? 9/10
    Bad Moon Rising, as I stated before 10/10
    Bobcaygeon - 8/10
    Sundown - 8/10
    24 hrs to live - nice, a rap song in between lmao 8/10
    What the Beat - m&m kills it 9/10
    Sacrifice - one of the calmer MM songs, I do like this! 7/10
    X is coming - yeah 9/10
    Lisa - like it, dont love it - 7/10
    Everywhere I Go - Xzibit a legend 9/10
    C&C - its fine but not really my thing 6/10
    Draped Up - slapsss 8/10
    Feel it in the air - never heard this, wish it had more a real chorus instead of just the loop. Good song though 7/10
    Sweet Home Alabama - u got the Kid Rock song and (iirc) Werewolves of London by Zevon being the first. All 3 songs are 10/10 to me.

    Aight; that makes this a 8,3!

    @AOTWClub

    It is because he doesn’t have any songs about sucking off his stepdad in the shed I’d say.

    I mean generally I feel like jay z gets way too much recognition online but it evens out because if you were to go out rn and ask people who their favorite rapper is maybe 1/50 people would mention this uglyass f---er.

    Checked out most of Hov’s albums over the summer (except Kingdom Come :emoji_slight_frown: ) and I was surprised at how consistent he is. RD got mentioned already, but i think the three Volume albums were really good as well

    I've only heard Blueprint and The Black Album and while I liked them (especially Black Album) they didn't strike me as much as I wish they did. He's very talented though he just doesn't connect with me super hard, could be a situation where I need to go back to them when I'm in a certain mood for it to hit me cause that's happened to plenty of artists that I now consider my favorites. Collision Course is one of the best things ever recorded though!

    99 Problems/Points Of Authority/One Step Closer is a personal favorite, especially the live version they did. Numb/Encore is a certified classic tho
