Feb 14, 2025 @AOTWClub Every Roo Has Its Day Review My enjoyment of this mixtape was about on par with the last one so I apologize in advance if the score ends up being low. There were a couple of tracks I found pretty decent. Everydog Has Its Day and I'm a Freak were definitely enjoyable but overall this one just wasn't for me. Given that Diggie and Roo both share very similar taste, I wasn’t too surprised by the playlist, though like it has been mentioned before, it's nice to have some variety in this group and even on albums or mixtapes you're not particularly fond of there's always new songs to discover. Staying consistent with my rating from the last mixtape, I’d give this one a 5/10 as well.

Feb 15, 2025 @Ripper Roo EVERY ROO HAS ITS DAY - ROOVIEW Score: 9.4 (15/16) Who would have guessed, Ripper Roo has tied for first place for my favorite mixtape of this first round of mixtape mania. Wish I could have returned the favor and given you a 10, but I could not get behind World Class Sinner / I'm A Freak. Gave it multiple chances, but it just never clicked for me. The same thing also occurred with the "title" track EVERYDOG HAS ITS DAY, but I liked it better upon relisten. Me and Roo are known to have similar tastes, so it was inevitable I would like this tape a lot. I appreciate the Clairo after I just finished her discog the other day (check out my discog deep dive thread if you wish y'all! Picking back up with Freddie Gibbs at the end of the weekend), love Juna and it was nice to have a cut from diary 001, due to me skipping over EPs in my discog deep dives (for simplicity and time sake). The Weeknd has AOTY so far so I'm glad one of the best songs on that album got a spot. The K-Dot, Charli, and Twelve'len tracks were some more highlights, and I didn't expect to be as into the Miranda track as I was. Great s--- Roo! They s--- on that song in the context of the show so even they don’t think it’s good lol It’s an absolute b-----r to me and basically what I named this mixtape after, I relate to that chorus a lot. I’m glad you liked it better upon relisten And this isn’t even one of the iconic songs from the EP either so I think you will enjoy it. Most of the songs on it are iconic and I wanted to include them but I felt the How demo really fit perfectly for what I was going for. Like for some reason even before I made this playlist I always heard the How demo after to Take Me Back to LA in my head. Ikr?
