Feb 28, 2025 @Michael Myers - Halloween: Revival of Michael Myers REVIEW Score: 7.9 (12/16 + 5% bonus) Fun little mixtape from Michael Myers himself, a lot of different sounds and languages on this mixtape which gave it cool variety. Just a couple misses on here though, but they are just songs that aren't my style instead of horrible songs. I'm back and forth on how I feel on the RZA track, there's part of it I love and parts of it that I did not like that much. Thanks for the fun variety of tracks Mikey! Had a good time listening to it this morning. Also 5% score bonus just because you stuck to the "I'm Michael Myers" shtick with the opening and closing songs @AOTWClub Mixtape Mania Rankings: 1. Feb 28, 2025 Okay I'm gonna explain a little thought process here like @jankland did Initially I was going for the thing some expected when they saw the title: a dark themed album based on songs featured in horror movies and The tracklist was this: Jack & Jim - Midnight Monsters Hop - it's not just a fun monster song, it's actually the intro of Halloween Ends. Having the theme song was a bit too obvious Jay Z ft. Dr. Dre & Rakim - The Watcher 2 - aside from it being my favorite rap song OAT it also fits the theme a little. Spineshank - Beginning of the End - not just a random rock song, but the intro song of Freddy vs Jason S71 - Tomorrow - a song featured in my fav horror show, supernatural (posted it a few pages back). Unfortunately this wasn't on Spotify so it was gone right away. Motorhead - God Was Never On Your Side - also featured in Supernatural and obviously fits the dark theme. Kim Wilde - Cambodia - played mutiple times in the Strangers 2 as well as other songs from that era. Jay Z - Lucifer - not from a movie but obiously fits the theme Nena - Irgendie, Irgendwo, Irgendwann - I knew the song since I was little, but its also like the unofficial theme song for the Netflix show 'Dark'. The Sounds - Something to Die For - this also seems like a random pop/rock song but its the opening song from Scream 4. Blue Öyster Cult - Don't Fear The Reaper - featured in several Halloween movies Steppenwolf - It's Never Too Late - featured in Supernatural Warren Zevon - Werewolves of London - obviously Open Up Your Heart and Let The Sunshine In - Stuart Hamblen - heavily featured in The Autopsy of Jane Doe Evanescence - Bring me To Life - obviously a nod to Michael being back after Ends. Demi Lovato - Still Alive - MYERS NEVER DIES. and also the ending song to Scream 6 so it has a double meaning. The title was: Halloween: The Rebirth Of Michael Myers But when I looked at this I figured most songs are pretty well known by most people and almost all rock songs... and the goal of this was to have different genres and introduce this group to songs they never listened to. Sooo I went back and switched a lot of songs for different genres, languages and tried to add songs most people didn't know (u can see the songs I underlined were replaced). The result was that the first few songs were pretty much the theme ánd the last few (Walk On Water, Believe.... Castle, Arose ) With also some random (pop) songs in between. And like that... the Revival -literally and a nod to the album- was born lmao. @AOTWClub
Feb 28, 2025 Carry on my wayward son continuously went too crazy on Supernatural that I often forget about the other music the show used. I loved Supernatural back in the day man lmao. Classic TV. Liking this idea of elaborating on the mixtape and talking about the choices!
Mar 1, 2025 True lmao I own every season, all 15 of them! Sure, later seasons they focussed a little too much on drama and repetive s--- but it was still solid until the end and each season had classic episodes. SPN has so many other songs I could have added too. Also yeah kinda felt the need to explain some things because all 5 tapes before nobody even mentioned cohesiveness or theme's and now suddenly people say songs don't fit etc like wtf that was not the point this round ? Lmao. But like I said I guess it was the title too
Mar 1, 2025 This would have been a 9 but being a rating hoe and picking 16 classic/renowned songs to receive a high score is slutty behavior

Tried to give it some variety genre-wise but the final product is pretty much a show of what I’ve been listening to lately and is thus mostly (indie) rock based. I Went for a darker atmosphere this time around, I hope everyone finds something for themselves to enjoy with this mix. Will write more about my ideas behind the tape later. Hope y’all have fun with what I’ve put together! Excited to read everyone’s reviews.

Mar 2, 2025 Jimmy Jazz - The Desolation of Jim Jazz Favorites: Alone Together, Crabs In A Bucket, Sea Ghost, The Calendar Hung Itself… RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 7/10 I appreciate the Vince Staples, Bright Eyes, Tyler The Creator, and Danny Brown representation on the mixtape. Yet another song from Big Fish Theory by Vince Staples found on these mixtapes! It’s definitely a good album, I’d say it’s probably my favorite Vince Staples album. Although not necessarily on my favorites list, I think “Teeth Like God’s Shoeshine”, “Half Sister”, “Trying to Explain”, and “Empty Stomach Space Cadet” are pretty creative songs. For some unknown reason, I don’t fully vibe with tracks 1, 2, 3, and 5. They aren’t bad songs at all though, and I could see them growing on me in the future. I guess it’s just not what I wanna hear right now. At least now we know why you call yourself Jimmy Jazz! The cover of this mixtape is one of the cooler ones. I’d say it fits the vibe of the mixtape well. You achieved your goal of having variety so I have to give you a golden star sticker for that I like the dark atmosphere as I am generally a dark person on the inside most of the time. Overall, this is a good mixtape. As I said, I only have issues with the first few tracks but those tracks still leave room to grow on me. It’s nice to see unique artists and bands that some people in the group might not know about. @AOTWClub
