Dec 9, 2025 Jimmy Jazz - Waiting For The Jets To Land Favorites: The Crystal Lake, I Felt My Size, Piano Fire, Tiny Cities Made Of Ashes, Limousine, I’ve Been Riding With the Ghost RIPPER ROO’S RATING: 10/10!!! Even before I woke up in a good mood this morning, I knew this mixtape would be 10/10. I could tell from the first listen that this is something special. Out of all the mixtapes so far, this is the one with the most music I haven’t heard yet. The only song from this tape I heard before was “Lonely Day”. All of these songs flow and fit together well. I found going from “Little Girl” to “Drunk Girls” and “Limousine” to “Lonely Day” to be particularly clever track placements. I legitimately liked all of these songs quite a lot and have no complaints. They’re all songs that have tremendous skill, talent, creativity, uniqueness, and emotion behind them. I like that the title and cover reference songs in the mixtape. Particularly with “Piano Fire” referencing “I got sunburnt waiting for the jets to land,” and “Tiny Cities Made of Ashes” referencing the Coca Cola bottles on the cover. It makes everything feel more connected. The tape has a surreal vibe to it overall. Great job! @AOTWClub
Dec 9, 2025 g.d. brother I am so glad you liked it that much! I put this together solely based on my personal taste and didn’t, in my wildest dreams, expect any 10/10s. The SOAD and Audioslave tracks were probably the only spots where I tried to make the tape a tad bit more accessible so I’m beyond thrilled that a collection of a little more obscure stuff that I like made someone vibe so much. Very happy I was able to put you on to a lot of new s--- too. It is pretty sick that you noticed the title and cover inspo in the Sparklehorse and Modest Mouse songs. It was a little detail I decided to put in there without much thought about if anyone would make the connection. Many many many thanks for listening and for the insane rating!
Dec 9, 2025 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau A @Michael Myers Thanksgiving Nostalgia Trip AI cover art means: RATING 0/10 Disturbia is a fun opener, classic song. Not familiar with Juantes but really need to listen for more Spanish music in general, this isn't the craziest song in the world but it does what it does well and I definitely wouldn't mind hearing it multiple times. Amazing is self explanatory, all the 808s vibes and Jeezy comes on with a solid verse, I always have a soft spot for Jeezy. Talk is just a great song, I know Coldplay is hit or miss for people (including me) but I really enjoy this sound. Fifa a--- song Tell Me Baby is a weird one for me, I love RHCP but songs like this is where Anthony Kiedis' delivery can get a little grating to me. Still parts of this song I absolutely love and Flea is killing it as per usual but some bits don't work for me. I was kinda disliking Pass Out at first but something about the last verse was really enjoyable to me, still not a huge fan of Luda but the song won me over a bit even if i wont be returnin to it much. Paparazzi absolutely rips, one of my favorite Gaga tracks. The live performance where shes bleeding out on stage is so good that it probably makes me a litlle biased towards it but its such a good pop song too! My hot take is that I'm not really fan of Jay-Z at all but ive been learning to appreciate his work a bit more Fallin' is actually really enjoyable and i like his flow here. Fun song and one of my favorites from the ones i havent heard before so far. Nod Ya Head is corny as h--- like Will Smith always is but i like it? Its very catchy and silly, its a fun groove. Usual Suspects is dope, Rick Ross has a perfect rap voice and Nas does great, all around good track. Watchu Want is cool, Biggie is Biggie and you can tell Jay wanted to do good and this track so he delivers, absolutely a good song especially considering the circumstance but id probably visit other Biggie tracks if i want a dose of his music. Sugar, We're Goin Down is a classic song from a classic album from when a great band didn't s--- d-ck, adore this song. Absolute critical hit to my exact taste in music. What I said about The Way I Are in my last review can also be said about this but better IMO. Give It To Me is one of my favorite Timbaland songs from this era, all 3 absolutely k--- it. Go To Church is one of the better songs off this album but im overall not the biggest fan of the album lol. Ice Cube sounds like hes trying here tho and Snoop and Lil Jon bring a good energy to it. I really like Lemmy's voice so it was nice to see a Motörhead song here, its cool to hear him calmer for a bit before he goes into the classic grit he has. Really enjoyed my time with this one. And Veritgo was a good cap to this, just a fun classic U2 song. They're a bit in the Coldplay camp for people on being hit or miss but i alwaus enjoyed this one. And for your bonus song Anyplace, Anywhere, Anytime would have been at the top of my favorites if it wasnt a bonus, that song absolutely rips lmao All in all a pretty solid, slightly schizophrenic tape (which i like), a good mixture of songs i know, a couple i don't, and songs by people i like that i didnt know about as well. Thanks for the tape Mr Myers Favorite Songs: Talk, Paparazzi, Fallin', Usual Suspects, Sugar, We're Goin Down, Give It to Me, God Was Never On Your Side RATING 8/10
Dec 9, 2025 @jankland you better appreciate my AI cover, it took me forever for the f---ing thing to turn our remotely close to what I wanted
Dec 10, 2025 @jankland Anyplace Anywhere is only a bonus song because it's not on Spotify It was my opening song actually lmao You remember the OG from my previous tape?

Dec 10, 2025 Jimmy Jazz - Waiting For The Jets To Land tfw you recognize a song on a AOTWClub mixtape I always say that I’m excited to check out the tapes we share in this group. And that’s because…I am. It’s always really fun to check out the songs, and I’ve made some petty good discoveries through them. And considering that I’ve really enjoyed Jimmy’s last two tapes, you bet your a--- that I was ready to jump into this. The Sufjan Stevens intro was a nice touch, (It’s been a while since I listened to Illinois, I should give it another shot honestly)and “The Crystal Lake” was a great choice for an opening song. I hadn’t heard it before, but I loved it. The Microphones track was pretty good, but the Sparklehorse song that followed it was absolutely amazing. Instant add. The run of “Little Girl”, “Drunk Girls”,(which is one of the songs on here that I knew beforehand!), “Gallery Piece” and “Tiny Cities Made of Ashes” was probably my favorite section of the tape. The next few tracks were good as well, and I especially liked “Limousine”, “I Am the Highway” and “Sky Blue Sky”,Although I do acknowledge that “Lonely Day” didn’t do that much for me. “Rejoice!” is the other track on here that I was familiar with, and it’s as great as always. “Road to Joy” was a great closer too. Overall, I really enjoyed this mixtape. In a way, it kind of flows together like a soundtrack for a mid-late 2000’s movie, and I mean that in the most possible way possible. I added a couple songs from this tape on my main playlist actually, and I really had a great time. Big thanks to @Jimmy Jazz for the tape and yeah Favorite Tracks: The Crystal Lake, Piano Fire, Little Girl, Drunk Girls, Gallery Piece, Tiny Cities Made of Ashes, Limousine, I Am the Highway,Sky Blue Sky, Rejoice! Rating: 9/10 @AOTWClub @Justin Trudeau
Dec 10, 2025 Yessirrrr!! Thank you for the great review man. I know you listen to a ton of music so he’ll probably cross your path one day (if he hasn’t already) but Sparklehorse is an amazing artist and a great rabbithole to throw yourself down into. Once again thank you for listening.
Dec 11, 2025 Truthfully Jimmy I went into your tape thinking that I wasn't going to mess with 90% of the s---, but, I was wrong. You got some good taste Jimmy! First half was really solid and that intro was a touch of class something @Marsh doesn't have () Crystal Lake was like a trip back to the 90's in a good way... no complaints from me bro. A few tracks down the line, Little Girl, wow what a tune s----s got a bop to it, Jimmy, I like your style. No h---. Another stand out was Drunk Girls not because we all love drunk girls but because this screams classic. How haven't I heard it, why haven't I heard it??? am I under a rock??? anyways Gallery Piece yh I don't know how to feel about this one at all, it seems very zesty but I aint knocking it. Got to Limousine and the track isn't available for some reason. Brexit? probably lol. This forum sucks a--- I had a bunch more written but this place is falling apart and for some reason error messages kept appearing wiping the rest i had written lmao. The second half of the tape is a little bit weaker but I still liked it and I'd say a standout of the last 6 to 7 tracks was the Andrew Jackson Jihad crew (what a name) lmao Jimmy overall dope tape. Chilled vibe. Cool tunes. Great stuff Jimmy imma give your tape a 8/10 a couple tunes will definitely be played in the future my man.
Dec 11, 2025 h--- yea my guy thanks for the great review and for keeping an open mind going into it. Super glad you liked it bro and am excited to hear what you put together.
