Jul 2, 2024 f--- yeah, I love your favorite tracks. I love the lyrics you pointed out on Just For Today, so relatable. I’m glad you liked the folk vibe, that’s partially why I picked this album as we haven’t really had an album with this vibe yet plus it’s an easy listen but still has depth to it. I’m glad that you paid attention to the lyrics, I feel they’re very important on this one. 7/10 is a good score, I’m glad you liked it
Jul 2, 2024 I’m thinking I’ll do two reviews for TDOSS A first listen review with a score and tracklist ranking for the first listen, and then another review that may differ from the first in terms of score and tracklist ranking before the next album that someone selects here once the recency of the album wears off a bit. i feel like this thread is the only place where I’d be able to make a review for the first listen and it not be drowned in a sea of replies

Jul 2, 2024 I’m excited to see how I feel about the album on release night versus a little over a week later, that’s probably how I’ll do this 2 review thing release night review on 7/12 hype wear down, “time to sit with album” review 7/19-7/20 off the singles alone I feel like this album is gonna score at LEAST a 7.5 or 8 out of me, but we’ll see

Jul 2, 2024 Clairo - Sling Standouts: BLOUSE, JOANIE, Partridge, Little Changes, Management Skips: No hard skips but if I wanted to be nitpicky I'd say Bambi (I feel like it overstays its welcome a bit) Score: 7/10 Final Thoughts (Skit): I don't usually enjoy artists who use whispery or soft delivery but I really liked this s---, thanks to this club I could listen to some s--- I would have never looked for on my own, some of the lyrics hit especially hard and on the whole it's a very relaxing album with very pleasing instrumentals, so relaxing and pleasing in fact that this'll be the white noise I use to fall asleep to for a while (I don't mean this in a bad or sarcastic way at all). This album on the whole accomplished one thing, I might check out her new s--- if I'm in the mood for this type of sound, that would've never happened before otherwise So, to sum up, I wish I could f--- her voice, since f---ing sound is impossible, I'll have to make do with her mouth @Ripper Roo Appreciate the pick, I wanna say again that I would have never found this on my own and I'm glad I gave it a couple of spins (I was between a 6 and a 7 but since the school system brainwashed me and left me a slave to the "7 is good enough to pass" s---, I decided to finally give it a 7 to emphasize that I liked it more than "ok") @AOTWClub

Jul 3, 2024 Clairo - Sling Exactly what I expected from @Ripper Roo . As a lone wolf alpha sigma it's hard for me to enjoy this kind of music. I felt my masculinity being stripped back layer by layer the more this album progressed. Thanks to this I'm now depressed, identify as a women, and have become vegan. 5.5/10
