Sep 12, 2024 I try and make sure I like every review but I want you to know that this one hurt to put a like on
Sep 12, 2024 @Justin Trudeau have you given Utopia a try? As much as I like Rodeo, I think Utopia has the better rapping
Sep 13, 2024 I have never felt betrayal like this in my life. In one hour and 30 minutes approximately, I will be deleting my section 80 account. Justin, Michael y’all have caused this. Disliking Oh My Dis Side cannot allow me to partake in this music forum anymore. I’m sorry Lord Travis for how they have treated you.
Sep 14, 2024 @AOTWClub Gonna try to keep this one short! This is my second Travis Scott album and now my favorite, I enjoyed Utopia but I never revisted it much outside of a couple songs. The Psychedelic Trap s--- usually isn't my thing at all but I think there's an energy here for a lot of the tracks that boosts my enjoyment, although it loses steam and wears thin on me during the last couple tracks. Also you can always here it but the Cudi influence is REALLY apparent on some songs in here lol. Travis has never been a great rapper but I think his flows on this record are usually pretty hard which helps immensely, the production is also incredible for a lot of it which is par for the course with Travis. Basically every feature does their thing too, don't feel like anyone made a song worse at all which is rare for an album with this many guests. Favorite tracks: Pornography, Oh My Dis Side, 3500, 90210, Maria I'm Drunk (idk how he made me enjoy Justin Bieber) Honorable mentions: Piss On Your Grave, Nightcrawler. Least favorites: Impossible, Flying High RATING: 7.5/10 CLOSE TO AN 8
Sep 14, 2024 @AOTWClub I’m not sure if it’s a generational thing, but I didn’t connect with the album as much as some others seem to. But what I can say is that it has lots of creative sounds and melodies. The album sounds modern and the production is very unique and at times I felt some strong Kanye West influence. I wouldn’t call it groundbreaking though as a lot of it seems directly inspired by Kanye and Kid Cudi. I appreciated some tracks, although a few took a direction that’s didn’t really resonate with me or felt repetitive in their structure, with lines being repeated over and over. With that being said I think the album is superior and a lot more creative than many other releases from that era 6.5/10
