Mar 14, 2021 It’s a weird conclusion to make that you have to write bad lyrics to have fun. Only Em stans would come to this conclusion I swear. You can tell Em was having fun on MMLP2 as well, yet the low quality writing is sparse there. Side B was just lazy, nothing to do with fun. No issues with people enjoying it, but call it what it is come on.
Mar 14, 2021 So Far is great and actually compliments Life’s Been Good really well. STIW is an acquired taste but after a bad breakup I really appreciated it a lot more.
Mar 14, 2021 I think both are lazy, but Side B is more enjoyable sonically. He even improved the hooks a lot lately. Em also always wrote bad lines for fun/shook.

Mar 14, 2021 Feel like a lot of them are too simple like the hand sanitizer and sneezing ones so they stick out like a sore thumb. To me side b doesn't really have horrible lines like most of his previous albums. IMO the ones people complain about are more along the lines of dad jokes.
