Sep 5, 2018 I just meant that as a general statement, not about Drake specifically. Kanye's cool with French as far as I know so I doubt that upcoming collab with that line would be a full-on diss or anything. Idk, Kanye seemed sincere here to me, I don't really get why people are saying this is an L or he's shook. Maybe I'm missing a piece of the puzzle but anytime a rapper apologizes for something like this people call them a p---- or whatever and to me it's more wack to not be able to get over your pride than to admit you did something wrong or f----- up.
Sep 5, 2018 tbh I'd be pretty mad if I was about to get that lift yourself beat and then kanye recorded the poopity scoop version too
Sep 5, 2018 Kanye is a grown a--- man and he don't want to deal with a rap beef while he has way more important stuff going on with himself. And I'm saying that as a Kanye hater
Sep 5, 2018 You got a very soft out look on the situation. When you invite someone to help you with your project, and then a week after they leave, green light music to try and damage that person’s career, that’s a snake. Apologize for what? He made his bed, be a man and sleep in it. But nobody checks for Yeezy shoes no more, all of his albums flopped this year, and now the biggest rapper in the world will continue to deteriorate his platform. Yeezy has always been out of pocket, but at least he always had the undying support of the rap community. That’s not the case anymore. It’s certain situations that will be dead forever, and embracing someone as they tell you about their child, and then going around and giving that to your buddy as ammunition, that relationship is dead. And that’s fine, but don’t cry about it afterwards. Keep that same energy. Kanye is a p----, he’s more fragile than glass. It eats him that Drake doesn’t like him, and that Drake will never like him.
Sep 5, 2018 Man.... y’all really had different energy when j prince decided to be the “bigger man” & dead this s--- before it went some where else.
Sep 5, 2018 That was the snake in the grass move by Kanye. He let Pusha put out his diss and then got J Prince to dead the beef before Drake could respond.
Sep 5, 2018 What he did was definitely f----- up—even if he didn't diss Drake, his name is on that project as both a featured guest and exec producer, and that's honestly just as bad. Though he does say he said he never said anything to Push about about the child. Obviously that's his word and the only other person who could confirm or deny that would be Push himself, but with the fact that the s--- was in TMZ, I'm sure word was making the rounds of people in the industry. I will say I disagree with the "made his bed and sleep in it thing." He's been sleeping in it for months, so of course it's eating at him. It shows more growth and balls to me to apologize and admit wrongdoing than to stew in hatred and guilt forever. Idk man, I've had a friend who betrayed my trust pretty tough to the point where I talked s--- about him and didn't speak to him for months. I was convinced I was never gonna be friends with him again and we stewed in hatred for months until he apologized to me and we hashed out it. We're still good friends to this day.
Sep 5, 2018 I mean of course it's always entertaining to see more rap beef but I also respect him stepping to end something before things got ugly, if there really was the career-ending type s--- he said there was. Especially after reading his memoir and knowing the type of animosity he was able to get between and squash lol.
Sep 5, 2018 Nah man this was somebody Drake looked up to actively plotting to sabotage his summer/career after asking him to come out and work on music together. There's no coming back from that type of betrayal. Hov still don't f--- with Kanye after all this time and he didn't do half as much to Jay as he did to Drake.
Sep 5, 2018 When you put it in those exact terms, I see what you mean now. I still think it takes balls to publicly apologize for something like that—it doesn't absolve you of your sins in any capacity, but I respect it and it's a start. The most tragic thing about this is we didn't get a drizzy/ye collab on the lift yourself beat.
Sep 5, 2018 Honestly it comes off as desperate to me and Kanye trying to get in front of it before the Drake x French song drops. He's had how long to apologize and he waits until a snippet comes out to go into damage control?
Sep 5, 2018 Yeah I guess I didn't realize the timing with the song, is that supposed to come out this week? I wonder if there's gonna be more than just that diss in the song...and does this mean French and Ye aren't cool anymore? Everything's "all jedi level"
Sep 5, 2018 Also Kanye is suppose to be Cudi's brother but apologizes to Drake after he dissed Cudi for entering rehab while he was mentally ill. #realfriends
