Eminem had a great run and fizzled out too quickly, he was a great rapper but folks like earl, doom, rakim, aesop rock, and not to mention a handful 90s artists I don't listen to are all equally if not more talented

Eminem does multis better than nearly any rapper but thats not the only measure of lyricism, a fact that seems to be lost on most stanleys

Eminem during TES/8 Mile is untouched.

Listening to anything @Skippy says about prime Eminem is laughable because the dude hasn't even listened to him.
I hope people haven't forgotten this.

I don't get how you say "multis ain't everything stanleys" and then include MF Doom on that list

Because MF doom has awesome abstract bars that literally no one else could think of, eminem uses window pane puns

@Narsh agree to disagree I guess homie, just know your one of the few that think that. Imo he was the best, he was great at every aspect of rap in his prime.

I get why people go against it though, some em fans are downright unreasonable and have little knowledge of rap outside of him. I've listened to a good deal of artists new and old, I really don't see anyone close to his 99-03 run.

I thought we were talking about Prime Em...?

1999-2003 Eminem wasn't special because of his technical ability. He was special because of his USE of that technical ability.

    It's not the same this:

^^^ goes with the complete artist argument. What wasn't he amazing at in 02? Great music, great content, hype/sales, classics, delivery, technical ability story telling.. He had it all

Yes but so do many rappers. Again going to use MF Doom as my main argument.

    Yee

I just don't think that these "best x" debates are ever good because it's hard to know enough about hip hop to make such a bold statement. I love Kanye but I hate when people say he's the best producer. It's just a stanning thing, like I feel like once you get educated enough on the topic you don't go "x is best" you say x is good at this, better than yz, but a did this right better than bc.

Hence, eminem is one of the greatest users of the multi and in his prime was well rounded in every facet of his music, but he wasn't the best rapper because there's plenty of rappers that are debatably the best at one thing and good to great at everything else

Agreed 100%.. It's not so black and white basically. All of us have preferences that play into our opinions, as you can probably tell em just suited the style of music I liked.

Edit: thanks for not just shi--ing on my opinion because I have an eminem avi.. Lol

Chad Warden As Ballin As Possible

    Aug 23, 2015
Kanye hasn't made anything better than the MMLP. So Chad Warden...Chad Warden, thinks they are equals. Yeezus can't do s---. But how can I hate 808s? Graduation?

Chad Warden has to look at this from afar and realize they're equal but different.

Eminem is a more technically skilled rapper. But he is not nearly as creative or artistic as Kanye, and his discography is DEFINITELY not as good. He is simply not a better musical artist than Kanye.
