    There is an idea of a Kanye West. Some kind of abstraction, but there is no real Kanye, only an entity, something illusory. And though you can shake his hand and feel flesh gripping yours, and you probably think your lifestyles are comparable, he simply is not there.

    i mean to be fair (in context) directors do not use their own money to finance their films at such a high stage in a career.
