Jan 12, 2016 The fashion industry is an oiled machine that loops on trends end-on-end and doesn't tire down. If you would want to dominate at least a portion of the market you would need to dominate the trends. To achieve this you will have to defeat multiple layers of academic critical writers and world famous fashion houses. To do this you'd have to outmaneuver them with either: better quality or pricing and ideally both without compromising on your endless visionary design proposals each new season. It's tiring to say the least and i can guarantee you that the 'careful' manual labour of a bunch of cute hippies couldn't compromise for their lack in skills and productivity. They would probably be stunned by the mere sight of a bunch of skilled Asian factory-workers sweating their a----s off, i'd bet. If you want to compete with a fashion house like Balmain.. or even Zara.. you need the proper infrastructure to supply to hundreds even thousands of stores worldwide. You can't do that by expensive hippy (i.e. American) labour when your competitors do it by merit of 15 y.o. Chinese hands that practically eat sleep and s--- in the same place where they go to work... all for a fraction of the American wage Moreover, we're now including machines/factories too so they need to be designed by engineers first.. most of whom get hired immediately by your competitors who offer them higher wages and because they see how renowed companies offer to set them up with a business network of other professionals.
Jan 12, 2016 Thanks for explaining, it makes a lot more sense to me now... Why the f--- can't you post like this more often?
Jan 12, 2016 because people are never asking the right questions or don't trigger me to take them seriously.. you just did tho
Jan 12, 2016 I'm curious to find out something now.. Having learnt new insights as you said @CoCo .. do you feel a new appreciation for lines like: I done told y'all, all I needed was the infrastructure Now we hottest in the streets, it ain't no discussion
Jan 12, 2016 But making yeezys a high end popular influential sneakers is more of a priority than making accessible shoes. Though with the way the prices go down, it's pretty clear he wants it to be more accessible, but it's taking time.
Jan 13, 2016 Most his clothes dont have that look if u dont buy them oversized. I think he pricing holds most people back tho..
Jan 13, 2016 wanna f---? well tbh, i can't recall what song that line is from. But yes as 2 lines of a rap song, i can say I appreciate them more after hearing your explanation on why kanye is struggling with his Fashion endeavors. That being said, Meek Mill is better
Jan 13, 2016 I don't know man, I'll let you know after swish or whatever his next album is. but snippets of meek mill's beats are currently the best beats in all of hip-hop
Jan 13, 2016 ok this real But SWISH will be made by Kanye... so i guess we both know how amazing that'll be.. rite?
Jan 13, 2016 Meek Mill currently has a beat that samples still Dre. yeah Swish is almost guaranteed to be good cause it's kanye, just not sure if i'll like it.
