Feb 26, 2015 I tried expressing this through the Kanye thread but it seems comments that don't blindly praise the song are ignored completely, or actually, it seems that it's a post written in a foreign language that's completely undesipherable for most. I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks this, I thought I was going crazy or took part in some sort of cult I unwillingly joined when this was dropping. I also believe this site is in dire need of people who have a wider range artists they listen to regularily.
Feb 26, 2015 Just heard the track, I actually like this, I don't think is the f---ing track of the decade neither but at less Kanye is rapping decently here unlike what he was doing on Yeezus. Want to hear the CDQ version.
Feb 26, 2015 Hip-hop and a live setting don't generally mesh well in my opinion, so I'm holding off on any true judgement until I hear a CDQ version of this and Wolves. But I didn't think that performance of All Day was anything spectacular. Sure, it was nice to hear him rapping for a change, but that really isn't the kind of rapping I'd like to hear from Kanye. I'd prefer something more soulful, like what we heard on his first three albums (Bound 2 was a bad attempt at recreating that sound). Sounded kind of generic to me. And I couldn't agree more about your last point. Seems like the average poster here listens to the same handful of artists over and over again. Definitely not enough of a variety of opinions.
Feb 26, 2015 Kanye West is certainly not an example of a rap artist whose music doesn't translate well in a live setting. Have you seen the Yeezus tour?
Feb 26, 2015 Not only but prefers. And I rather souful types than what sounds like solo wtt knockoffs.
