Mar 2, 2015 such an average track. production is on-point (as it always is with Ye), but the content falls so flat.
Mar 2, 2015 first listen felt underwhelmed just bc i had live version still in my head... already grown on me unbelievably. that outro is everything i wanted though, surprised me in ways i didnt even know i could be surprised
Mar 2, 2015 what were you looking content wise? I'm sure the content will be right in line with it's place on the album (based off the outro/intro, it's probably a bridge between two very distinct tracks) imagine if we judge a song like "im In It" by the "content" i just heard this for the first time and it was pretty f---ing awesome tbh. The live performance spoiled us, but there's nothing wrong with his energy on this. It might have put a lot of people off it was more aggressive/might not fit in with the album My takeaway is that this is gonna be EVERYWHERE soon...it's a f---ing b-----r. I might throw a party at my place this weekend, and deal with all the mess that comes with that, just so I can bump this s--- in the right setting and, as i said before, i think it's hilarious that Ye's about to have white people everywhere proclaiming that "like a light skinned slave" they're "in the mothafuckin' house" the outro, as mentioned, is great as well. threw me off a lot tbh, need to listen again -- but it was awesome. Do i wish the song was more aggressive? yeah...but do I think that really would've changed my opinion on the track? not really..it has a lot of other things going on for a song with supposedly "flat" content
Mar 2, 2015 Put in some headphones and listen lol. Like a light skinned slave, boy, you in the mothafuckin' house
Mar 2, 2015 starting to dig the deadpan delivery kanye has going to cdq. its as if hes surrounded himself with all this crazy s--- (production, features, etc) and doesnt even act phased by it, almost like hes shrugging it off as if hes above it all. crazy aggresive delivery like the live performance would've been amazing in its own right, but its pretty rare to see kanye this nonchalant so gotta appreciate it
