    The fact that there’s a tie-in with commercials and people seem to have been listening to an actual finished album gives me hope that this is like a real thing with planned marketing and such. Plus it wasn’t announced by him tweeting an arbitrary date and tracklist of unfinished songs lol

    The only reason people don’t like the “gospel s---” is because it was bad music, content always gets muddled into the conversation when people try & find a reason they don’t gravitate towards it, instead of just accepting it was a dud musically.

    Like it was said previously Jesus Walks is fire & nobody complains about the content, it’s good music lol. Same with (a couple) of the sessions with Dr. Dre that we heard, Every Hour intro & Follow God sessions trump the released Jesus is King album alone tenfold.

    Also we just heard him ruin all these promising Yandhi demos in real time. Jesus version of New Body is one of the most cringeworthy things I’ve ever heard. Legit kidz bop music

    Yeah, I think the biggest takeaway here is that Kanye actually finished the album before planning its release unlike the last few cycles where he was doing release parties and half the songs had mumble verses that he claimed he would finish in the two days before the release date he announced lol

    I wouldn't go that far, but I'd say it def had potential to be a worthy addition to his discography

    It also depends which version of yandhi he would've dropped. The one that was supposed to drop after SNL would have been a disappointment. The one that was supposed to drop in April definitely would have been a great album tho.

    Fair enough, I may be to caught up in the what if’s. But songs like City in the Sky, Law of Attraction, and Slave Name would definitely have ended up as some of his best.

    turning LoA into Use this gospel may have been the worst decision Kanye ever made musically.

    Was it ever confirmed what songs were gonna be on that version? Though I guess part of the reason it would be better is simply because he actually had time to work on it lol.

    Yeah City in the Sky is great. I actually like Use This Gospel but I'm also a huge Clipse fan, but I do wish it had the original hook + finished kanye verses.

    If you took the og hook, added in the clipse verses, kept the drums, finished Kanye’s verse and cleaned up his refrain a little bit I honestly think you are looking at a Runaway tier track
