Jun 7, 2018 Is this guy f---ing serious? He rearranged the whole album a week before its release and now he's making updates to it because some things don't seem to work? No s---, Sherlock! I'm usually enthusiastic towards Kanye even if he says incredibly stupid things but this s--- is more ridiculuous than tlop rollout.
Jun 7, 2018 you got a copy of that version? the we don't age line is one of my favorite lines of that album and id love to keep that if he did actually replace it
Jun 7, 2018 14 tracks would be considered an album to me. Wouldn't consider adding a few tracks to a 7 track album a bonus
Jun 7, 2018 He should just drop the original beta version of the project. Thats the only thing I wanna hear.
Jun 7, 2018 the best part about this is that the updated lyrics were pushed out on the 5th and it took until today for anyone to notice because nobody listens to clean albums
Jun 7, 2018 i don't know the ins & outs of spotify for example to know if kanye gets special treatment or not, but i was referring to pre-streaming days.. great artists before kanye put out their work and that was that -- better be perfect at time of release. i can't go back and edit my term paper after it's been handed in.
Jun 7, 2018 About this "slavery is a choice" s---, I just found out Charlamagne tha God put out a book titled "Black Privilege: Opportunity Comes to Those Who Create It". These dudes honestly think it's a meritocracy out here and that because they made it out the odds aren't really stacked against black peoples in particular. What a bunch of capitalist stooges. Eat the rich, fam. Funny how the guy who made Gold Digger s----s his money and married a savvy business empress.
Jun 7, 2018 True but artists also couldn't mass distribute free mixtapes all over the world, easily produce their own videos, make albums longer than 80 min without having to have two discs worth of content, make a short album without calling it an EP, etc. Game done changed!
Jun 7, 2018 no -- these guys like charlamagne are simply choosing not to play the victim role. no doubt they'd agree that there's inequalities, but their viewpoint seems to be that we've overcome enough as to where it's not necessary to play that card anymore.
Jun 7, 2018 not saying that indians = blacks in america, but i love this answer by Aziz Ansari: Interviewer: “What advice do you have for Asian Americans who want to get into the industry?” Aziz: “Don’t ask questions like that. You can do anything white people can do.”
Jun 7, 2018 Mixtape distribution have been a thing for 15 years now though. Home made, in-house, videos have been a thing for a while now as well (granted, s--- quality, but w/e). Ya got me on the 80 min ceiling thing, but who's actually doing that right now? Kanye's album IS an EP -- i don't care what he calls it...but who cares on the LP/EP thing? -- i think that's the point of not slapping a label on it...nobody cares if it's an arbitrary length to be called an LP vs an EP...tbh i never understood needing to label it to begin with
