Feb 4, 2015 if u say bad bout kanye its insta ban m8....yeh i agree, the beat dont matter its bout the lyrics
Feb 4, 2015 tbh imo everything matters, but you can't only focus on 1 aspect of the track. Specially when we are talking about Rap.
Feb 4, 2015 No. I never see the people here talking with valid arguments about how great Kanye's lyricism is in Yeezus. I just see "But he is the best rapper of our generation", "Yeezus > Eminem's discog", "You are a f---ing kid go to listen to Recovery" and other type of comments from people that doesn't know how to mantain a discussion. I'm going to explain this: For me, and for a lot of other people, you don't need to be a "lyrical myracle" rapper to be skilled. Even if you are not good technically you can still be interesing and touching for me if you dominate things like Storytelling, the capacity of flow properly or even just being relatable. Kanye is not that. He is not good: I don't know why do i need to quote bars from Yeezus if i assume that most people knows how to use Rap Genius, btw, let's talk about the song that the people think is "Better than most Eminem's songs": b---- I'm back out my coma Wakin' up on your sofa When I park my Range Rover Slightly scratch your Corolla Okay, I smashed your Corolla I'm hangin' on a hangover Five years we been over Ask me why I came over One more hit and I can own ya One more f--- and I can own ya One cold night in October p---- had me floatin' Feel like Deepak Chopra p---- had me dead Might call 2Pac over Yeezy's all on your sofa These the Red Octobers Still ain't learn me no manners You love me when I ain't sober You love me when I'm hungover Even when I blow doja Then her auntie came over Skinny b---- with no shoulders Tellin' you that I'm bogus b---- you don't even know us "Baby girl, he's a loner Baby girl, he's a loner Late-night organ donor After that, he disown ya After that he's just hopeless Soul mates become soulless When it's over it's over" And b----, I'm back out my coma These are boring lyrics with basic rhyming and without a interesing subject matter. You can see that the writting is poor and doesn't have any interesing element.
Feb 4, 2015 LOL guy is a kanye stan I won't argue it. Think what you wanna. He is so overrated on SL and many members confirmed it in this thread except Kanye Stans. It's just a poppy thing for SL just like hating anything Em does. They act like Kanye is something so special. I ain't gotta talk no more. The guy said Blame Game is better than any Em song. Em has some of the greatest rap lines and verses ever. If we talking rap how would you really compare Rap God to a some egomaniac b---- sorry. Once again we saw that Em is the biggest thing in hiphop they can't even talk about lil Kanye without bringing Em's name on table. Kanye tries new and different things yes but different never means good.
Feb 4, 2015 ...You're missing the point. No one is saying Kanye is super lyrical. But as Kanye and Dr.Dre have proven you don't need amazing technical lyrics when you're production is so well-made.
Feb 4, 2015 Typical Eminem stan viewpoint Not liking anything progressive and insisting that rap never change. That kind of stagnant mindset is what's gotten Eminem's music to the low it is currently at. Do me a favor and start listening to rappers that your mother hasn't heard of. Broaden your horizons, quit having the musical scope and awareness of a 12 year old
Feb 4, 2015 The people where telling me that Kanye's lyricism in Yeezus was good. But you don't understand my point: I don't want necessarily a technical rapper. I want a good rapper. Somebody that can rap good lyrics with a good flow over a good beat. I want everything, that's the point of Hip Hop: Without a good beat the music is boring, without a good flow the music is annoying and without good lyrics the content seems stupid.
Feb 4, 2015 Have you read up on how Yeezus is one long metaphor for the movie "The Holy Mountain". Read up on it, it makes the concept at least interesting enough to where you might change your opinion And I guess when it comes to flow and what not it comes down to personal preference, so I respect your opinion
Feb 4, 2015 Rap changes and I like it. I just don't like Yeezus and if this is what rap suppossed to be like I don't like rap music. but yeezus production is the real problem for me.
Feb 4, 2015 Ok then it's abrasiveness is too much for you. Just say that. It is perfectly fine to be like "Yeezus is too wild/ far-out for me" but that doesn't make him overrated lol that's just laughable
Feb 4, 2015 It's really a shame this s--- went on this long man. That last conversation was embarrassing the whole way through b spanish isn't your first language either right? Please say it aint so...
Feb 4, 2015 The last thing i need to see is a person that doesn't talk Spanish critizicing my Spanish. "Pueda entender mejor" is a f---ing robotic expression. Went to a Spanish forum and try to use it, you get f---ing banned.
Feb 4, 2015 lol without an interesting subject matter? both g lyrics? its about getting over his longtime fiance Alexis r-----. its both intereztig and nonvoting. just cause he doesn't talk like a robot doesn't make him nonboring
Feb 4, 2015 A robotic expression bruh?! It's a formal way of addressing a person son. You should know this. You must be referring to him not using the more informal use of the word which would be "puedas". (Or "entiendas" mejor) i didnt think it was this complicated. Is spanish your first language? (Serious question?)
Feb 4, 2015 No no and no. Is not formal, is robotic. "Pueda" is an expression you would use in 1800. Every Spanish speaking person says "Para que puedas" or "Para que entiendas". And since you ask, yeah, i was born in a Spanish speaking Southamerican country.
