Mar 29, 2015 I found the movie and actors to be extremely "hollywood self-indulgent", the movie was more about the movie itself, rather than telling a story. As such, it had zero emotional impact. I found this to be really offputting, I think I turned it off after about 20-25 minutes (also because I didn't give a s--- about the movie's themes & symbolism). The shooting -making it seem like one long shot- seemed more like a gimmick to me rather than an applaudable accomplishment. Whereas this technique worked out masterfully in Hitchcock's The Rope (granted, shots were limited to 20 minutes or so, but this technique was actually functional), watching this movie it just felt annoying and forced. It should have never won the best movie award, unless the jury was mostly considering themselves as an audience. The other movies I mentioned are all more deservedly of the award.
Mar 29, 2015 Have you ever heard a Travis song Lmao All Day sounds nothing like Quintana or Mamacita (for example)
Mar 29, 2015 You watched 20 minutes and turned it off lol I shouldn't be surprised you thought the camerawork was gimmicky, considering your ability at giving a reasonable critique of something is pretty much non-existent. The film was shot like that, to emulate the feeling of being on stage and acting in a play. There are no edits on stage. Considering this film was centered around Keaton's production, it made perfect sense to go this route.
Mar 29, 2015 I made a rework of all day combining final version with live version, I made this bc I loved the live version but it missed the quality of the sounds, hope someone likes it
Mar 29, 2015 Whenever I read your posts it feels like they were written by a high school dropout. I don't think there is someone on this board whose opinion on what constitutes making sense is any less credible or interesting than yours. But good for you that you enjoyed the movie!
Mar 29, 2015 Can't be bothered tbh. The movie wasn't worth my time and any further discussion on this (especially with someone like you) isn't either.
Mar 29, 2015 there's a 10 page thread on KTT of a guy saying he's got the album. if it's real tho....
Mar 29, 2015 " I been on my grind, a long time.. I been outta my mind, a long time. I been outta my mind a long time"- Upcoming lyric from "So Help Me God" (At least it was on the album in January) Kanye had about 20 tracks (musically) done in Florence, he has more than likely scrapped a good amount of these tracks as he has had many sessions since then. " This is for all the executives, f--- you and all of your relatives, Piss on ya grave" The album is starting to move onto the final phases, but it is still not DONE. I have seen so many people on here speculate release dates and give all sorts of theories but the bottom line is that it is not finished yet. NOTHING you have heard is final including "All Day" because KanYe mixes his albums up until the deadline, the final mix of "All Day" will knock more and wolves will sound different in some capacity. If you watch the "Runaway" movie, you can hear that "Dark Fantasy" has a few differences from the final album version. THERE IS a Weeknd X Drake X Kanye track on the album, Drake rhymes something about being on tour, the song has a smiliar ambiance to most Drake X Weeknd songs but obviously it still sounds very badass and has a really great vibe to it. Onto the album roll out: The streaming service wars are about to start.. Stats show that by 2017 over 70% of music will be streamed. Apple bought beats for the streaming service and has gutted the s--- out of it. They are going to start the new Apple Streaming service campaign in June and more than one person in the industry has speculated they are going to roll out with some HUGE names. That's right, you might finally be getting that Dr. Dre album you wanted in sync with the launch of Apple's new streaming service.. Beats ALREADY has a higher payout to artists than Spotify... Ok now where does "the man you came to see" Mr. West fit into all this?? Well, we all know the reach APPLE has, we all know KanYe's love for the company, and a few week ago rumors were already flying about how APPLE was going around to "superstar's" offering them a LOT of cash for there participation in exclusive partnerships/music streaming. To make things more interesting, HDD recently reported this about.. KanYe's big brother's new streaming service: Jay Z’s recently reported gathering of star artists, execs and managers, to discuss his proposed streaming venture has caused quite a stir across the biz. Jay is said to have offered 3% participation to the major artists in attendance, including Beyoncé,Madonna, Rihanna, Pharrell Williams, Kanye West, Coldplay, the Daft Punk robots and Jack White, for their assistance in branding and marketing the company. That's right, Jay wants the top spot as well... And his NEXT album, Beyonce's NEXT album, and his JOINT album with Beyonce will all come out on TIDAL... Not to mention Rihanna... So what does KanYe do? Does he roll the album out with APPLE? Does he take equity with his pal Jay-Z in return for helping market "Tidal" I am channeling my inner Sway right now, because I do not have the answer(s). What I can tell you is that KanYe does want to be back on top, he does want to be top 40 friendly this go around. So, if he released his music exclusively on TIDAL it would not be great exposure for him as TIDAL cost's 20.00 a month a price point $10.00 higher then where Spotify and Apple currently are... Even with Dr. Dre rumored to be dropping his project with the new APPLE launch, I think the best move for Mr.West is that he drops in early to mid June, via APPLE and wins the public back over again because let's face it that would be the best way to get his music to the most people. TIDAL could be a huge hit, but I don't want KanYe to 1. Be an test run for HOV's company and 2. Be on a streaming service that nobody knows about unless KanYe pushes it... Tidal would be using Kanye, Kanye would be using APPLE if that makes sense... And if Mr. West DOES choose to get involved with the streaming war which is about to go down between Mr. EK, Mr. Iovine and Mr. Carter... I hope he chooses APPLE and wins the public back over." -Alleged Insider
