Mar 15, 2016 1. Kanye doesn't have anyone in his camp to tell him no. 2. No one at the label is brave enough to call him out. 3. He is indecisive where everything is concerned. 4. I don't believe this album has anything to do with art, other than the title. 5. He believes Mike Dean is all he needs to mix & master a song, when in reality, Mike f---s up alot. 6. We would of forgave him if the album was pushed back before we got to hear it, now that we heard it, getting an updated version is pretty redundant. 7. I love the album we got, even though its a mess.
Mar 15, 2016 This is EXACTLY what I wanted after hearing OG Wolves. After Sia I was always hoping I'd hear Kanye "You gotta let me know if I can be your Joseph" but nope...never happened lol. EDIT: Or nm, I thought you meant Vic, Sia, Kanye
Mar 16, 2016 First off, you ain't need to come off as a condescending a--- to me. Don't claim to be a contemporary art expert in any way, just fans of some of the artists. Okay Death Grips. One, their music is giant culmination of a number of genres everywhere from hip-hop to noise to punk rock to black metal to industrial. They seem to be one of the first acts truly birthed and defined by the internet, from how they make their music to the general sound of it. It sounds contemporary, but also insanely ahead of its time. Second, the way they've gone about albums releases is extremely interesting for a modern artist, as they were the first artist to really kick off this recent trend of surprise releases with their sophomore album No Love Deep Web, as they were essentially forced to leak it themselves after broken promises from their label. They leaked it after setting up an ARG (augmented reality game) on the deep web and passing it off to 4chan to crack the code of this whole mystery the band set up, giving people everything from album instrumentals and making some fans go to a payphone in New York to answer a call with a new code. Then in October, they leaked it themselves with the album cover being the drummer's penis with the album title written in sharpie. You can either take that as a f--- you to their label or a comment on masculinity seen in the band's music despite them all being extremely progressive guys. Also in this thread I mention the Jenny Death fiasco multiple times which I summed up in this reddit thread, which is something you had to have experienced to truly know the whole story. And for Dean Blunt? I recently made a video on him where I have a biography section which I'll post below (2:05):
Mar 16, 2016 This is the only album in history that keeps disappointing me in new ways a month after release. Gotta thank Yeezy
Mar 16, 2016 In all honesty he should of pushed back TLOP. It took him tthislong for Wolves and it'll take just aslong for the other tracks.
Mar 16, 2016 I mean, I'll still patiently keep up to date and check it out but I would've been fine with a push back if Ye done GOOD Friday's or something
Mar 16, 2016 "The new song Fade" (before I get anyone's hopes up Fade wasn't updated) Tidal is really a mess
