Apr 24, 2015 My Theory for SHMG is this...hear me out if its a little far fetched. After Yeezus, Kanye has been trying to regain his loyal fans of his earlier work while incorporating new sounds into his work. Problem is...it hasn't panned out as he planned. See, he invisioned he was going to have the rap album of the year on lock, simply because he's Kanye and almost whatever he s----s out is gold. Right??? Well not quite. Kanye has had 3 confirmed songs drop from the project, "Only One", "Wolves" and "All Day", two of them featuring the Beatles legend Paul Mccartney. I'm pretty sure FourFiveSeconds is Rihanna's song. Those 3 songs have gotten mixed reviews. "All Day" and "Wolves" have been loved by most for having great production and a unique sound. However "Only One" didn't do so great because of its poor use of autotune, regardless of the good message. Making it sound like an 808's and Heartbreak outtake despite being recorded after. Kanye then heard Kendrick's (97 on metacritic) album, along with a couple others this year. This changed his whole entire plan, to avoid having a clunky mediocre album. These new albums and influences made him go back into the studio to change up some things and scrap some old ideas. His next plan was to drop it in early May on TIDAL out of nowhere, however with TIDAL flopping, Kanye panicked, deleted any tweets supporting it and quickly left that plan in the dust.
