Apr 28, 2015 because there would be zero incentive for people to sign-up for Tidal then... everyone is still on their 1-month free trial.
Apr 28, 2015 It would be best to do it just before the trials start to run out so that if people like it they will resub
Apr 28, 2015 Nah, they'll either rip it themselves, or listen, be satisfied, and let the trial end knowing that it'll appear on the internet soon anyway. It does make more sense from a business perspective to wait until after the free trial. People will be more likely to put money in the bag.
Apr 28, 2015 Tidal could get a W for this if they have an exclusive Kanye concert associated with the release or something to that effect.
Apr 28, 2015 You do know thats impossible if I can hear it digitally there is a 100% quality up that I can do
Apr 28, 2015 really?! like playing it on good speakers and recording it thru a studio microphone and uploading it back onto the web? or much simpler than that? genuinely curious
Apr 28, 2015 o i c i just tried to do the microphone trick I mentioned above and with The Joy. Basically I played The Joy thru Tidal, recorded it thru the left speaker first with the right speaker off, then recorded it thru the right speaker with the left speaker off. then I took those audio files and joined them together after I lined them up and made sure both stereo streams matched. It came out nearly identical. I wonder if I gave my settings/ mic setup a little better acoustically if I could just recreate the song completely. Completely pointless project considering theres software out there that instantly captures any audio you play, but idk I was in a creative mood.
Apr 28, 2015 If Tidal gets big enough - which I don't see it happen - people will probably develop ways to crack it. The minute this drops on there, we'll have a leak. Have no doubt in that
