Aug 5, 2024 for a real answer, some of the things I love about him absolutely are his voice and adlibs. it's such fun, energetic music and he has so many flows and different cadences and voices to switch things up all the time, iconic quotable for days you can yell along with people at shows/parties/etc. like I 10000000% understand why carti isn't for everyone and don't expect everyone to like him cuz a lot of it is experimental rap, but I do think rap fans sometimes miss the forest for the trees when it comes to someone like carti because his music doesn't stringently adhere to people's idea of what rap is/should be. Not saying this is the case for you mm marsh etc but people don't listen to carti for the same reason they listen to GZA or eminem or nas or whoever. I gotta start participating in album of the week fr so i can make everyone listen to whole lotta red genuinely no idea what ur talking about lol, he doesn't really have a singular signature adlib but if did it would probably be "what???" or "slatt!"

Aug 5, 2024 I won’t lie it feels SO good knowing that all the rappers @DKC loves are releasing absolute trash these days. Kanye, Future, Carti, Ty Dolla Sign, etc. Even typing out some of these names is embarrassing. He’s probably just listening to country music these days.
Aug 5, 2024 Nah the only one of these guys who sucks is Kanye. Carti's last album is a classic that already influenced a new generation + his recent loosies and features have been fire. Future dropped two albums this year that were a return to form after his last couple being mid Ty you could argue has s----d due to the Kanye collabs but it's obvious he has zero control over Vultures lmao.
