    If Kanye had said what he said about the 13th amendment a few years ago I wouldn't have batted an eye and assumed he meant the best, cuz I agree with him 100% that the 13th amendment needs to be...amended, as it explicitly allows for the continuation of slavery in a different form (prisons):

    "Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction."

    But saying that s--- the way he said it in a MAGA hat is just...frustrating. This is the guy who made "New Slaves." Like I'm not even sure if he said it the way he did on purpose to be more controversial or he's just really that bad at public speaking/social media on the fly. Either way.

    Best case scenario — Kanye has been setting up a direct line with president so he can facilitate dialog with influential people who have disagreements and come up with potential solutions

    Worse case scenario — Kanye butchers his thoughts on modern slavery & prison reform, becomes Twitter's punching bag again, and cancels Yandhi

    I truly hope Kanye understands that this album needs to be on the level of Graduation or MBDTF to get himself out of this hole. Liberals are extremely angry with him right now, and it’s going to be worse after they f--- themselves out of the midterm elections with all of this Kavanaugh nonsense. At this point if he drops something even TLOP tier, it’ll be dragged through the mud.
