I don't understand why he should be held accountable for something he can't control? Sure, it's nice to be humble and all that. But it kinda is what it is. Living with Bipolar is incredibly difficult and I'm not even sure how serious his is. You get judged enough. I don't see an issue with it.

And the outro on Yikes really expresses the god complex side of the condition...

I get this. My mum has said things very reminiscent of this when she's high and Kanye is expressing that side of the illness without fear of being judged. I think it's empowering.

He's critical of himself too. Even on this album.

Uh, because he's a superstar with a large platform glorifying his mental illness as some kind of personality quirk that's the key to his success. "Name one genius that ain't crazy"

He's somehow doing this while also admitting the pitfalls (ie his substance abuse and such) and it's very worrying.

How is he saying it's the key to his success? You're looking into it too much. He's literally just expressing his feelings. It's that simple. And once you can see it for that you can appreciate it more imo. And as I said... people with Bipolar face enough discrimination as it is.
