Feb 11, 2015 you're not wrong, i just point people to red because it's a middle ground between where she is now and the faux-country thing. 1989 is a tough sell to a new listener, because it has two of the worst songs in her catalog, including the intro.
Feb 11, 2015 I think both albums are equal quality wise (side note: I think All Too Well and Blank Space are tied for her best song). It just comes down to what's going to be a better introduction to Taylor Swift as an artist, and Red takes that imo.
