Jan 25, 2015 Black out our twitter accounts and let's start a blackout movement on Kendricks twitter.
Jan 25, 2015 I wouldn't be surprised if he went with an all black album cover considering he's had the all black on his twitter for some time now but I hope he doesn't go with that. It's been done many times before.
Jan 25, 2015 The black album makes a lot of sense actually. And heres why... It could fall into the possible theme of Kendrick's next album. Peter Rosenberg from Hot 97 radio was given the opportunity to listen to some tracks off Kendrick's new album. According to him Kendrick is talking about black righteousness, he's talking about Africa, and there is some social commentary. Kendrick's single "i" could have been strategically released first in order to set up a foundation on what his next album will be about. The song "i" is about accepting who you are as a person and loving yourself. Now, if you look at the music video, one can agree that the video is very black. The way kendrick is walking and dancing in the video, it's origins can be rooted back to Africa. Even the color of his skin seems to be exaggerated. His face and arms are very shiny in the video. This could have been done on purpose to express a deeper meaning. The video is definitely about being black, being beautiful, and being proud of who you are. The video also touches on modern issues of racial profiling at 1:43. Theres also the track "King Kunta" that had everyone hyped up, including Scott Verner. The song is a reference to Kunta Kinte, a Gambian-born African who was enslaved in America. Scott Verner said Pharrell's comments after hearing "King Kunta" were: Now, looking at the alleged tracklist and back cover of the album, track #3 is titled "underground march." To me this sounds like a reference to the underground railroads of the 19th century. This would make sense because the track/skit that follows is called "History." Of course, its possible that Top was telling the truth about the tracklist being fake, making this assumption irrelevant. BUT Top did lie about the GKMC tracklist being fake, which ended up being 100% real. In the end, this is why a black album cover would makes sense for this album. It could symbolize the common black themes in the album. This is all speculation of course...If this was true, Kendrick would be pushing boundaries fam
