That's what I think, but I don't know why I kind of just wouldn't be surprised if there was an announcement for a project soonish and if not yeah, like 2-3 years away

I honestly wouldn't be surprised if he took 4 years for an album tbh

Why the f--- would he do a movie? He's a rapper, not a actor.

    he needs to keep evolving,
while TPAB sounded a bit forced, it was still a step forward.
GKMC was classic from second one to the last. including the context but way more accessible.
for the next one, I'd love a "major" Section.80, meaning, a section.80 style album (in terms of sounds) with A grade features, and producing and less complex.
I love complexity in rap, but transcending the genre often means, delivering the same message with easy execution and understanding.
    He's still 3 out 3 so far.

gkmc is the one that sounded forced to me, tpab sounded like something that kendrick always wanted to make (and it was confirmed..). But maybe you feel that way because you're not familiar with that kind of music? it's nothing new, but its extremely rare to go that deep in music history when making a rap album

Honestly, I want him to keep making complex music, its how music used to be few decades ago.

And now that I enjoy layered music again, I can't find myself listneing to "simple" music anymore. I feel like I only started to appreciate simplicity because I got brainwashed by the radio

Thats not happening, the music on sx80 has way too many technical flaws. Considering the fact Kendrick is now trying to make the best music possible, he's either gonna make (a) another tpab or :emoji_beer: something completely different.

I'm going with the second option

He said multiple times GKMC was the album he's been making his whole life
that he has been thinking about this concept for years.
GKMC might be too easy going and recycled (in terms of how long he's been crafting this project early on in his career) but not forced.
I'm familiar with this kind of album, but not always fan of TOO complex albums
I'm a less is more guy, in terms of complexity I mean.
TPAB was excellent, also first second classic to me, just, I think he didn't quite recapture the feeling of the first one

No... he has been saying mumtiple times that he always wanted tpab to be that his debut, he has bveen working on it for years, he just didn't feel confident enough to make it, so he made gkmc first to introduce himself... he said it was needed in order to drop the album he really wanted to make.

honestly, keep dr dre, Kendrick proved with tpab that he had all the best musicians in his camp, he doesn't need dr dre at all.
