    I don't think he'll continue the Jazz sound, Kendrick is like Kanye in that all of his works sound different. Also while I agree with the fact that he's better without rap features, I'd still like to see him with black hippy guy or j cole. Also I think it he jcole collab is gonna happen this year sometime before next kdot album

    he'll definitely continue it (thanks god, its a super good news). 6 years ago he said it was gonna be his go to genre and we all expected him to continue this way but he dropped gkmc... but after that he dropped tpab :kdotbless:

    he's entoured by the best jazz & funk musicians right now, so I don't think he gonna take the risk to venture in the unknown.

    Also you seem to froget that that jazz/funk thing is the new movement in LA (they're basically paying homage to the original LA sound)

    btw, let's post some herbie hancok songs as hes probably gonna be on this album (btw, herbie said to billboard that he wants the entire TDE/brainfeeder crew to work on his own album)

    It seems like we definitely gonna have herbie on kdot's next album, thats HUGE.

    Herbie is a fusion jazz/funk artist, right?

    yeah, but his style is a lil bit more "rhythmic" than what kendrick used on TPAB. Herbie's style is often described as extremely melodic and very accessible. That could be easier to listen to for those who aren't familiar with that kind of sound.

    Kendrick had a lot of free jazz on his album, Herbie's style is even more funkier & post/bop.

    If Kendrick next album is influenced by herbie then you could just say tthat sonically, it will be the continuation of the tpab sound, but more melodic & rhythmic
