Ain’t nobody scared of Lil Wayne in 2024. Dude can’t even drop Tha Carter 6 that he announced like 3 years ago and it’s just gonna be a mid album anyway. And if Wayne really wants to go this route I’m pretty sure he has some skeletons in his closet that would get exposed. He’s a legend but he fell off.

I highly doubt this album will be talked about in years or even months to come, still does not change the fact it’s great and so was TDOSS as you pointed out with your scoring of it. This whole hip hop culture is just a load of nonsense to discredit other artists. Music Is not consumed or has the longevity like it did back in the day, as people move on a lot more quickly as it’s the current age we live in with how we consume music, media and we move on to the next thing.

The disrespect to J. Cole on the opening track is absurd. Well deserved after the bs he spit in that track Cole put out on Instagram with the Dead Presidents sample.

At least he didn’t outright diss Wayne, at least that’s how it seems to me. It just seems more like a mention although I’ve only listened like once. Honestly I would’ve been more surprised if Kendrick didn’t mention that situation in some way

It’s not Kendrick’s best work but it’s also not trying to be. Honestly this almost seems more like a mixtape. A bunch of bangers and some slower, more introspective songs. There’s no grand concept/story connecting all the songs like the last album. This is exactly what I wanted from him at this moment. I can’t decide between a 7 or 8/10 right now.
