    UMG and Spotify are being sued, not Kendrick. I can 100% believe they would inflate numbers but for all of their artists, not just Kendrick. Drake himself would also be included in that, especially when Spotify was shoving Scorpion in people’s faces as soon as they opened the app. Not Like Us is definitely organically popular, but I wouldn’t be surprised if some of those streams are fake without Kendrick’s knowledge. Sometimes these labels do shady s--- for sure.

    But with how low first week album sales are these days I don’t think number inflation is as big as some might think. It’s just to give the music a bit of a boost in the algorithm so more people listen to it themselves. Siri playing Not Like Us over Drake’s music was pretty weird though. I more so think that was a glitch with Siri itself since Siri sucks so much. Siri probably just played Not Like Us because it was so associated with Drake.

    His new style is inspired by and borrows heavily from Drakeo the Ruler and a bunch of other newer cali artists that have been cultivating this sound for for close to a decade now. He introduced it to a wider audience and he certainly has his own distinct identity as a rapper but it's absolutely not singlehandedly lol

    Yeah I feel like that is correct. Stans love tdoss. But The casual hip hop listener marks it up as mediocre. Or doesn't even give it a spin at all. And Kendrick is more modern these days

    Antonoff also produced Lana Del Rey’s last few albums. I love NFR but i never would’ve guessed that the guy who produced “Venice b----” also produced “Squabble Up”

    I’ve been out of my body for the past 24 hours. This Kendrick album doesn’t feel real. I just want everybody to know I don’t actually hate them. We just have differing opinions and that’s okay. I’m not trying to put anybody down.
