    hmm, get me right, it’s a great first listen. But it just feels a bit flat compared to his discography.

    I feel like he fumbled the Squabble Up, the hardest first verse ever going crazy with edits.. to then just be.. idk, soft.

    Considering how high the anticipations where for this and his new audience, I feel like it might be a miss.

    I am just comparing this to all my other first listens of Kendrick.

    But where would you honestly place this when ranking his discography? Honestly now, after your first/second listen?

    Kendrick is top 2 of all time and he isn't number 2 I'm afraid.

    it's still a bit early but honestly I'm not sure. It's gonna be hard comparing this to his last 4 (even if d---. isn't the most well liked) but at the very least im putting it over Section 80. S80 isn't bad by any means but it's never really clicked with me. I like the first half of this album more than the second but maybe I'll have a change in opinion with more listens. Still a great album though,

    Still, the fact that Kendrick has 6 albums that range from good to amazing is a testament to how f---ing incredible he is.

    I can tell I'll be revisiting this more than any Kendrick album other than GKMC.

    Will likely be #2 in discography.

    I'm not sure if it's been mentioned on this forum before, but it's been known for a few months that he's been working on two albums. A non-conceptual record (this one) and another concept album that apparently has Nas and Andre 3000 feats

    I believe this, considering how up to date some of these lyrics are, it feels like something he done quickly in the last month. Probably a great way to meet expectations for the real album.

    Off a couple listens I enjoy it and like I expected it's not really a concept album, probably sits somewhere next to d--- for me currently
