Dec 31, 2015 And I throughly went through everything you stated and explained why it was silly/didn't make sense. Suit yourself.
Dec 31, 2015 Claiming a song sounds forced because it doesn't sound as "smooth" as another song that had a completely different purpose does not make sense.
Dec 31, 2015 Nah he was comparing the way his voice sounds. Idk if your trying to overread or something. Lyrics are great like he said but dot just doeant sound authentic on that track like he does on his pain. On that song i really thought he was crying depressed etc. On u it sounds like hes trying to sound like hes crying depressed etc aka forced
Dec 31, 2015 Go back and read his post. He literally saids "His Pain sounds smoother." No one was talking about the authenticity of his crying or whatever until you barged in which just gave him another nonsensical point to argue. It's nitpicking at its finest. Think about what you're arguing for a second. You're arguing that Kendrick's crying sounds more authentic on "His Pain" than on "u." Like.... For starters, how do you even determine authenticity of crying (smh) and secondly even IF we were to come to an agreement that you were right, it's such a minuscule point, how does that support this idea that the entire song is "forced" or "mediocre?"
Dec 31, 2015 Because thats what he said. It sounds forced. The crying/depression sound he put on in his voice is forced which takes away from the song. On his pain it sounded natural which made the song great. Idc if im right im just saying cause your writing paragraphs at this n----- like hes a dumbass. Your just over thinking the s--- hes saying
Dec 31, 2015 K. We're just going in circles now. I'm not gonna repeat everything I just said. I'm not over thinking anything. Like... I literally quoted exactly what Pato said in my last comment lol you can go back and read it for yourself.
Dec 31, 2015 ... What? "Smoother AND powerful" I was talking about the content of the song since the beginning of the conversation, that was my whole point lol With smoother I meant the way Kendrick constructed the track but that wasn't my main subject anyway
Dec 31, 2015 Exactly.... You were pointing out that "His Pain" was constructed "smoother" and using that as criticism for "u." "u" wasn't made to be "smooth" I keep telling both of you guys that these two songs serve different purposes.
Dec 31, 2015 I don't find the approach really that appealing But like I said the album itself already feels forced so I'm not saying nothing new
Dec 31, 2015 Well that's personal preference but to say "u" is forced is just wrong lol. It fits in context of the album and comes from his own personal issues. There's nothing "forced" about it lol that's been my argument the entire time.
