Feb 10, 2015 The song is really really good. Kendrick's aggresive tone is perfect, the verses are great ('my heart blacker than an Aryan'), great beat. What's to dislike?
Feb 10, 2015 Don't wanna be that guy but it's actually "I'm black as the heart of a f---in Aryan" which is actually a completely different line. Not sure if just an accidental mistake though because that line doesn't really make sense in context with the song.
Feb 10, 2015 I'm honestly surprised this hasn't already been released on iTunes... I'd say the only reason this doesn't get released as a single to buy is if the album is coming REALLY soon. Tbh they'll probably release the single on iTunes later today.
Feb 10, 2015 Sounds pretty great. Honestly I read these comments beforehand and people referring to similarities with Yeezus and it being another black empowerment song turned me off for a second. I get the racial discussion being very important, but most black empowerment type songs sound extremely one sided. I hate this s---, because it is a total turn off for me. Since I am white and have no bias towards races (I could care less what race or nationality one is) then I always feel being caught in the crossfire in those type of songs that try to s--- on white people and claim black as something more special. I can't vibe with that s--- as much as I couldn't vibe with songs that claim white race to be more spectacular (if there are any at all). In that regard I most of the times prefer that musicians leave the racial discussion alone, since it is a very difficult matter to portray well (most of the times it comes out as just bad). Don't find anything similar about Yeezus here either, in my opinion this is much better than almost anything on Yeezus. Kendrick kind of juggled this theme pretty well I'd say, interesting approach atleast. I hope they switchup the drums more though, s--- got kinda repetitive.
