Didn't realize how much bigger Taylor twift is than Kendrick until just now. I was watching Kendrick videos then went to Taylor twift. Kendrick's highest viewed video 34 mill, Taylors 384 mill. Kendrick needs to tap that just for the promo.

Where do people think this new album will stand. I know every Kendrick fan is expecting album of the year. But could this album rival something like the MMLP ? I've said it before and I'll say it again, I honestly feel like Kendrick can drop the greatest rap album of all time. 10-20 years from now your going to remember where you where when you heard this album.

People overrate Kendrick. He's a great artist but he'll never drop anything on par with albums like illmatic, MMLP or Aquemini.

To keep it 100%, I think Kendrick held back on GKMC. I think he released that album just to secure a spot in hip hop. Now he's seated in the thrown and ready for battle.

I don't think there is unfortunately. I've got the physical copy of the album sold by TDE and I ripped it to my computer in FLAC, ran it through a spectrum analyzer and it's just 128kbps mp3's burnt to a disc.
The best quality I've found it in is the iTunes AAC versions floating around.

Either you want it or not, most people say kendrick will never top GKMC. GKMC is considered as the consensus 2nd best album of the 2010s after MBDTF (and not only in hip hop)

What YOU think doesn't matter... an individual doesn't determine the status of an album. Fact is, gkmc is considered as one of the best albums of the last 5 years and is making all these "best albums of all time" lists from respectable magazine. (and also lists made by artists)
Even if you like his next album, even if you think his next album is goat, GKMC will probably always be considered as his masterpiece.

Kendrick can keep getting bigger and better but at the same time there's only one GKMC. Nas for example released Illmatic and got bigger afterwards. Illmatic is still praised. Jay released Reasonable Doubt and became much bigger afterwards but Reasonable Doubt is still his most praised although it's arguably his best album, people argue that.

Kendrick will keep getting bigger & better but there's really only one GKMC. No matter how big he'll get, he'll never be in the same position as when he put out that album and because of that it'll be celebrated regardless.

I like Kendrick but it is what it is. When your album is celebrated as one of the best albums of its time, its done, you can never top it.

Notice I use the word "considered" because like I said, an individual opinion doesn't matter. Even if you think his next album is FLAWLESS and the greatest album of all time, it will probably never be held in such high regards like good kid.

tbh good kid maad city is absolutely amazing,but he has it in him for another classic. But I doubt it will be better than good kid maad city. But it will be close and it will be classic, I know it.

you don't get it, do you? The album is praised as one of the greatest albums of the new decade. No matter what he releases next, that project won't have the same accolades & respect. It is literally impossible, its like one of the 25 most critically acclaimed albums of all time, in any genre.

Personally I don't care about reviews but I doubt he can top it, its like one of my favorite albums of all time and I'm not new to this genre.
