The new single is already done. So that statement doesn't apply to this. But I agree 100% with music taking time. I hate when people brag on making a album in two weeks or something when they put out a decent project at best. When your a artist your job is to make music. And more rappers need to do the d--- job they signed up for.

yer bro, kendrick ain't gucci putting out an album a week :wiggins2:

kendrick said it himself he only makes music when his in the right mindset and when he thinks he can say something - I think it's not making the album that takes long, it does, but it's the life experience that takes long. kendrick definitely took a break from music after GKMC a little bit and experienced life, he experienced the fruits of his success, a new rising fanbase, new pressures, etc. and all these new experiences definitely helped him and prompted him to go back into the studio and say and make something new

kendrick's been making quality cohesive projects since kendrick lamar EP so as fans we gotta get used to the fact that he makes albums; no mixtapes; not throwaways; but cohesive projects that have themes and narratives and a general purpose to them

I've been listening to section.80 for something close to 4 years now I think... I never cared for No Make Up...until today. That song finally clicked for me when it happened to come up on shuffle. I don't know if it's because I've changed as a person or what but it's cool that I've listened to this for so long and just heard something new. I think that speaks volumes about the quality of the music as well as Kendrick as an artist.

Nah Macklemore is a pretty smart guy I think he knows he can't sell the same song twice. He'll either find a message to stand behind/make a song about or go a similar route to Asher Roth (even though he's a bigger artist) and just say f--- it and do whatever and let who likes him already follow him.

People are also forgetting Macklemore is pop/rap. People seem to like that more in the main stream. Also Macklemore will have a bigger budget to work with this time around.

Indeed Macklemore covers more "ground" with a split genre

Kendrick's getting A LOT of backlash for defending Iggy.

I'm trying so hard not to violate some of the girls I follow 'cause they're the homies and/or look good, but this is ridiculous.

People are blowing his comments way out of proportion.

people need to realize iggy isn't the problem

it's the people behind her who are.. and that's the music executives aka the people who are making all the moves and getting the majority of the money

and kendrick has already addressed his views on them in untitled

kendrick is one of the few artists who are speaking about black inequality, police brutality and trying to say something positive with their music yet these fk--- twitter slime will try and make him into an uncle tom for an out-of-context quote

They're mad because they feel like Kendrick only cares about black men and not black women. It's stupid.

"He’s talking about Black righteousness. He’s talking about Africa. There’s social commentary. There’s all kinds of deep thoughts..." that's how Rosenberg described the content of what he heard from Kenny's new album

now.. black people (not at all of course) are hating on Kendrick for those comments he made in the billboard interview, which makes me think that kendrick is trolling us with these comments or his comment was heavily misrepresented or misunderstood by the majority of people which is understandable given that this complex issue can't be summarized in a sentence of two

but anyway.. he gonna win all the detractors over again

pay attention cause it's gonna be a spectacle :westbrook:

    (Jah) Pac died at 25
How many kids you know dead at 20? Five?

YO u know what would be a dope promo for his album? A teaser trailer of his dad sitting down and talking all chill while smoking a blunt then all of a sudden a black screen with just the release date showing, then back to his dad yelling at the camera like buy my son's f---in album, you better get that f---in album!
