I'm just speculating haha. The album is obviously mostly done, and multiple people have had the chance to hear it. Kendrick just stated that him and Cole are releasing around the same time, and Cole dropped December 9th.

So I expect a release plan similar to J. Cole where its a 3 week announcement to release schedule.

I hope Kendrick doesn't pull a J Cole and have no f---ing features on his album. I want to see Eminem, Kanye West, and Nas on the album.

Features have been confirmed but it will feature soul & funk artists...there will be one or 2 rap features, thats it.

Ron Isley, Pete Rock and George Clinton are already confirmed.

as for the other features, I bet it will be dre & Rock and thats it. And I don't want to see Em, kanye and nas, He said he wanted to make a hip hop/fun/soul album so this s--- would compromise the cohesiveness of his album. I can't imagine Eminem and Nas over that kind of beats

No, features are needed when they're used right. they're needed to progress the story better, to build & structure an album.

A lot of critics didn't like how cole didn't use any feature because for them, something was "lacking"

Actually i'll take back what I said, I don't want another Eminem/Kendrick song cause Love Game was f---ing GARBAGE easily the worst song on MMLP 2 it was a f---ing embarrassment. But I definitely want to eventually see a Kendrick/Nas song that's just too good an opportunity to f--- up.

    why that smiley?

He said he wanted to return to the roots of black music, he said his album will be funk & soul influenced, just like S80 was Jazz influenced. Pete rock confirmed he was on a hook, George Clinton confirmed he worked on 4 songs (not all of them will make the cut though) and Ron Isley confirmed it as well.

So considering the fact that kendrick said there will be very few features, you can be sure there will only be 1 or 2 rappers on it, and one of them is Dr Dre since kdot said he & dre recorded a lot of collab songs for that cd (Complex).

Also I don't see whats wrong with saying Em & Nas wouldn't fit this album. I love Em but a white rapper on funk beats would be weird.

nobody said it wouldn't be fire, but nobody wants to see a Kendrick/Nas collaboration if it compromises the album/if it doesn't fit.
