    As a huge pac fan, it is nice to see kendrick do something like he did on mortal man. He is keeping pac alive.

    What kind of restraints though? Lyrical? Production? Concept?

    I see zero benefits of having someone put constraints on dot during the production of this album. Kendrick has said multiple times he doesn't like having people outside of his camp listen to previews of new albums, let alone have input, because it can change the final outcome of the album. Why change Kendrick's initial vision of the album? The music that Kendrick makes is a representation of his life, and he is really good at making it come to life through his music. How are you going to let someone else tell you how your life was lived?

    Kendrick's albums are not biographies fam, they're autobiographies.

    how bout: don't make a lot of weird voices that are clearly going to make people disregard/hate this album off the bat?

    think thats a good constraint to start with

    This was why I couldn't get into Kendrick at first. His voice was way too raspy for my liking.
