How about we dont compare two projects with complete opposite sounds, ideas and demographics?

you're not a k.dot fan then. you're a fan of GKMC and K.dot features. not Kendrick himself. It's the only excuse for being disappointed with this album. It's better than OD/KD EP/KL EP

@CoCo Features have nothing to do with it tbh. This is one of those albums that are gonna have to grow on me. You're assuming too much crap lol.

I never agree with that arguement
like no they dont have the same sound but theyre both making hip hop and should be able to be compared:
whats the better fruit, the apple or the orange

People are aware ghostwriting is when you write for someone and they never credit you and so it appears as if the songs artist wrote it. Ghostwriting is not what Kanye does

My point still stands, you can't say "oh i'm a Kendrick fan but this album is disappointing" TPAB is the type of music he's been releasing his entire career, apart from GKMC which had a more upbeat/mainstream/radio single vibe to it.

But if you're in a mood to listen to some deeper introspective, layered music tpab would be better,
But if you're suddenly in a mood to listen to catchy, fun, more straight forward music, of course you're gonna prefer drake,
You can have a preferred album, but whether one is actually 'better' than the other would depend on the listeners mood and what they want out of it

So you're saying you can't call yourself a fan of a artist if you're disappointed at one of their projects? Lol

No, i'm saying a project that is equal to, or the same as his entire body of work (bar GKMC) isn't disappointing.

Yeah i feel you but hip hop is hip hop as diverse as it, different sounds can work to varying degrees across albums and can be more generally accessible while retaining the artistic aspect (ie MBDTF)
