Nope. This feels like an almost purposeful left turn to follow up a critically acclaimed studio debut. There are more parallels to be made, but thats the gist of it yeah

Drake by a lot. All Day didn't even make the cut on my phone. The lyrics were too immature and anti religious for me. I've already explained it in the Kanye thread.

Naaaaaaah. I never even downloaded the album. I just enjoys drakes music. Idk what it is I just like to vibe to it. He can make a variety of hip hop music that I can enjoy. I don't listen to a whole lot of hip hip outside of Drake and 2 Chainz tbh.

I think people will look at it as night and day from gkmc, and they wouldn't be that far off. The foundation is there in his older projects, but the overall product is not what many were expecting. I saw a kid vehemently argue that kendrick lied to him with dropping the control verse then making an album like this lol

It's a great album, and people will realize its merit in time, but right now there's going to be a lot of reactionary dissatisfaction..whether it's good or not, it's not what people wanted

I feel this post. Lately my regular rotations are 2chainz, Drake, Meek. "turn up" music is dominating my itunes atm

No. I originally had alright in my top 5 too. I just found too many flaws when I read the lyrics online that draws me away from the songs.

Another reason i feel people arent feeling this album is because most of yall only listen to hip-hop. Expand your horizons and listen to other types of music. Just because it sonically sounds different doesnt mean its trash lol

His music is always being played where I go to school along with Drakes so you grow to like it. You put Kendrick's album on and listen to him b---- about racism then no one will show up at your party. Get with 2015.
