    I don't get the cringe at "this d-ck ain't free". it's a metaphor for saying us blacks (or atleast kendrick) will not be pimped by the white man no longer. would you rather him say "i won't be pimped" or "i won't sell my soul"? i mean those are just too straight forward and also not something that would catch on in social media like "this d-ck aint free" would imo.

    edit: the only way you're cringing at this line imo is if you're taking it for face value in which case wtf you even listening to this album for

    My biggest satisfaction with this album is all that recovery Eminem yelling s--- kendrick has been doing in 2013 and 2014 is non existent on this album. The blacker the berry is the only song where he is really yelling and its necessary and f---ing amazing on that track.

    I think some of the beats sound like something J DIlla would produce.
    Especially on Institutionalized after the Master take the chains off me !
    The swing of the snare and kick kinda give it that vibe.
