    How? And I thought most people hated the original I? Or at least I know Paul did.

    Even I didn't like it at all until the last 2 mins..

    Album version made all the worst parts (the first 3/4 of the song) so much better with the energy/agression and the live setting it emulates, and then actually just cut out my favorite part lol (the last verse/outro)

    I can understand why someone dont like it, it's not an "easy" album, there are not "catchy" songs except KK. It's difficult to remember how every track sounds, cause it's not just beat - verse - hook. It sounds weird, but in a good way imo.

    Anyway, I understand why someone dont like it, but i cant get how they can deny this is a great album. For example, I think illmatic is boring af but I can admit illmatic is a classic

    the new i is much much more interesting and engaging.

    not to mention we don't have to deal with that r-----ed voice for the majority of the song anymore

    It's most defintely better. We all agreed SNL version >>> original, and that's what the album version (reworked a bit)..I don't get how it's not better than the sacchrine original version

    This one sounds like the defiant response to the entire internal struggle up until that point -- like it should

    Not a passive/straightforward anthem about "loving yourself"

    why are people's minds blown about this it's not even that crazy? actually i hardly get it. i mean i get what the dude is saying but i don't understand the significance of a crip being a caterpillar and bloods being a butterfly? so what you start at crip, get to level 32 eat a rare candy and evolve into a blood doing the same exact same gangbanging & dope slanging that you did before? i'm sorry but that theory just doesn't work for me.
