Why in the world do you keep bringing up Kanye? This logic doesn't make even a little bit of sense. Kendrick toured with Kanye. Kanye praised the album on Twitter. If I needed Kanye to work with Kendrick to like him (which...again, how does this idea even make sense), then why did I love GKMC and Section Eighty?

The Pac bit is embarrassing because it's overwrought and self-important. It overinflates Pac's importance as some sort of prophet (which, much as I love Pac's music, has always grated me to a point anyway). But more importantly, it puts Kendrick on a pedestal as a new-generation torch-bearer. It's one thing for a listener to say "Wow, the way Kendrick delivered his message in song X and song Y was really reminiscent of 2Pac." It's quite another for Kendrick to spell it out himself with a cut-and-paste fake interview for 8 minutes (or whatever) to end his album. It's beyond heavy-handed.

lol for five years your argument against All of the Lights has been "it's gay"
