    Hey @Koolo you know how Kendrick said he was listening to a lot of Marvin Gaye during this process? Do you see a similarity in the Beat between For Sale? (Interlude) and this song? (Mainly the use of the winding sound)

    When streaming sites stream your music, is the artist or label not compensated or paid to some degree? They're profiting somehow from those streams, so it would be an actual sale, correct?

    That music is bringing traffic to their streaming services, so there's some type of profit there.

    Not taking anything from sean, his album was good, but Kendrick is just more talented. Some people were simply born to do this.

    this is actually one of the most contentious parts of the music streaming world. spotify operates in a way re: royalties, the splits thereof, and the payment schedule thereof that doesn't reflect that of or mesh well with the music industry itself. that's why big industry backers are throwing their weight behind beats, which they hope will eventually run spotify out of business.
