Lol I've made so many posts, either in direct response to WPG, or in general, about why I think the sequencing is great (and might actually be one of favorite elements of the album)

I'm on the T right now so I can't repeat myself again
How many drugs were involved fam? :kyrie:

GOAT post tho, glad you loved it first time through..even I didn't fully jump on board immediately

okay so, you're probably gonna ignore all of this because to you the production is apparently "chaotic" and in general, what, sloppy imitations? i dont know, i havent been able to really understand the complaints (although im trying to).

but without really getting where you guys are coming from, anything I say can easily be countered by "well you're wrong"

    anyways,

I think the sequencing is one of my favorite elements of the record. Not only does it maintain the basic idea of pulling from a variety of "black music" throughout, it does so, to me, in a manner where each tracks transition to the next feels natural. Not just the way they lead into each other (because that's actually not always a hit for me...sometimes the repetition of the poem takes me out, some times it adds to the song at hand), but the way the production switches up from each track doesn't feel jarring. Having TBTB after Wesley's Theory, sonically, would be horrible sequencing to me. But having it near the end not only gives the album time to build towards it sonically, but narratively as well.

And that's another aspect of the sequencing I love -- the fact that, although the "story" for this album is less straightforward compared to GKMC, there is a narrative to be found, and a character arc that actually sees some type of transformation by the end. The songs themselves become more pointed as the character discover what "message" he wants to bring back to compton. The poem itself lends structure to the record, making sure each song works thematically when leading into the next.

like i said, rather than the same people make the same points again and again, id love to know why the sequencing doesn't work. i couldnt get that from the review. or at least anything i found as concrete or made me reconsider my position. As of now, the fact that the album works so well as a whole, is one of it's biggest praises from literally EVERYONE but i'm guess u and the PoW staff lol
