    Yeah I know but I didn't know it was a real term, and what it's meaning was aside from that. I guess the history books did a good job...

    Think about what he said earlier in "i" that he's the realest negus alive, but then he seems unsure whether it even matters (despite being immortal, I'm just another n***, another man, can't do anything on my own), and then he looks for answers from Pac. Check out my previous post too, I think it makes sense.

    Yeah I didn't catch the line before the NEGUS definition about it being straight from Ethiopia. So, not nowing that I thought it was his own thought. Still, had to look further to properly understand what he meant tho...

    but yeah, i and that "negus" skit would've been as good an ending for the album as mortal man. if not better. and not as gimmicky. and on a happy/self-loving note. with the narrative complete.

    HMADC doesn't fit at all in the album. The production and the concept/tone overall, I just don't see it.

    The whole album is about kendrick changing himself as a person so he can start leading others to do the same,
    HMADC is supposed to symbolise kendrick realising how important it is to not let money control you and is a significant point in the album

    Also about how important it is not to judge others at first sight and to show kindness to the less fortunate

    I mean, yes, on paper it fits in the album. But when I hear the album from start to finish, I feel like the song doesn't belong so much.
