I enjoy the jazzy tracks on this project waaay more than TPABs jazzy tracks, i just find them more interesting sonically. In addition, i f---in love the more modern & somewhat experimental feeling tracks here, they're standouts to me, they catch my eye, definitely somethin i'll find myself coming back to a lot.

As for Kendrick himself, shiiiiit he f---in kills it on every track.

All in all, i'm really diggin this project.

The jazzy tracks on tpab were free jazz, the jazzy tracks on this album are like fusion jazz, this is pretty much him exploring a different "subgenre" of jazz. This is what a lot of us predicted after we heard he was chilling with herbie hancock

I actually like his rap better like this, it allows him to use that never ending flow which I like a lot

however I wish the terrace's sax was still on it. It was one of the highlights of the live performance imo...and it was also part of the song structure, like it divided the song in 2 parts
