Quick Rundown of the Beef (Ongoing)
-2011/2012
Drake works with the Weeknd extensively on Take Care. Rick Ross is featured on "Lord Knows" Kendrick has a feature on Drake's "Buried Alive" and Drake returns the favor by featuring on Kendrick's "Poetic Justice" Drake also appears on A$AP Rocky's "f---ing Problems" which features Kendrick..
- 2013
Big Sean drops "Control" which features Kendrick and Jay Electronica. Kendrick's verse directly calls out various rappers including Drake and J. Cole. Starts a "cold war" between Drake and Kendrick.
2013-2023
- Cole continues working with both Drake and Kendrick. Drake and Kendrick send indirect shots at each other over the years.
-Drake's relationships with The Weeknd and Kanye worsen and is seen as the "loser" of his beef with Pusha T.
-Drake continues working with Rick Ross, and releases a collaboration album with Future, mainly produced by Metro Boomin. --J. Cole disses Kanye on "False Prophets" starting animosity between the two.
-A$AP Rocky starts dating Rihanna and starts a family with her.
-Kanye and Drake seemingly reconcile, with them holding a benefit concert for Larry Hoover in 2021.
-Drake releases "Her Loss" with 21 Savage, which contains many disses towards Kanye, Future and Metro.
- Metro proceeds to beef with Drake due to "Her Loss" being nominated for a Grammy instead of "Heroes and Villains".
Release of FATD:
Drake releases his album FATD. The song "What Would Pluto Do" seems to either be a tribute or a diss towards Future. Most of note is "First Person Shooter" which features J. Cole
Cole declares him, Drake and Kendrick as the top 3 of rap
Release of "WE DON'T TRUST YOU"
Future and Metro Boomin release their collab album "We Don't Trust You". Various songs contain shots from Future towards Drake. The song "Like That" features Kendrick taking aim at Drake and J. Cole explicitly:
Cole's Diss and Apology
J. Cole responds with the song 7 Minute Drill:
Cole then proceeds to apologize for the response
Drake Strikes Back
Drake leaks "Push Ups" and releases it officially a few weeks later. Song takes aim at Kendrick, Future, Metro, The Weeknd and Rick Ross:
Rick Ross responds with "Champagne Moments" creating the
hashtag #bbldrizzy
Future and Metro release "WE STILL DON'T TRUST YOU", with various songs throwing shots at Drake, with The Weeknd and Rocky making direct attacks.
Drake then makes "Taylor Made Freestyle" Dissing Kendrick with AI verses from 2pac and Snoop Dogg
Kanye decides to jump in with a remix of Like That, with him extensively making fun of J. Cole on social media:
On 4/30, Kendrick responded with Euphoria:
Then on 5/3, Kendrick dropped 6:16 in LA:
Also 5/3, Drake dropped Family Matters, claiming that Kendrick beats his wife, and that one of his children is Dave Free’s
Also also 5/3 (literally 20 minutes later) Kendrick dropped Meet The Grahams, claiming that Drake has an illegitimate 11 year old daughter and houses Pedophiles in his crew
Drake parodies Buried Alive:
Kendrick released Not Like Us the next day, explicitly calling out Drake as a pedophile and sex trafficker
on 5/5 Metro dropped his long awaited diss “BBL Drizzy”
Later that day Drake released The Heart Part 6

it's been a couple days past the month anniversary of d---'s release, and already i barely revisit
only song i catch myself playing consistently today is GOD.
id way rather go back and listen to GKMC than this project and it's practically brand new, anyone else dealing with this right now?
may just be me, i felt as if this album was overhyped since it released...

so in thinking about Kendricks career over the past couple of years, I remember coming across an interview where he stated something along the lines of "TPAB was the album he wanted to make when GKMC came out, but he wasn't ready"....and it got me to the conclusion that where Kendrick is now, is the beginning of his "GOAT" career. When i say GOAT career i mean that hes completely shed his caterpillar cocoon (TPAB reference) to aligning himself into a position where he can really run the rap game..... I feel like Section 80, GKMC, KLEP..were warm ups to the slaughter of records hes going to release in the future.
When it comes to Kendrick he's so cryptic that you can never know what he's up to or about to do next...even with leaks and snippets....I mean when "i" was released i couldn't even imagine the beauty that was to follow with TPAB...i honestly have faith that Kendrick wont fall off ever...i think it is in himself to never allow that to happen.
i love the anticipation you get with following an artist like him...its like "whats he going to do next?" and best believe he delivers whether it be featured tracks or his own projects.
I mean is it just me or does anybody else feel like Kendrick got some major hits coming in the near future? just from watching all the collaborations hes been apart of and all the legends in the music industry hes been working with...its only right that he will carry that knowledge with him on his future projects.
