Always enjoyed S.80 slightly more than GKMC. both are really really f---ing good though and the difference in ratings between the two are so minor, but, i still feel like S.80 is the better album. could be because of the nostalgia value though, i got s.80 the night it leaked and after a few listens was all "yeah Kendrick will be the next big rapper to blow up" and started telling everyone i knew to listen to him. I said in the other thread, that if i was drinking with some mates i'd prefer to listen to GKMC mainly cause it's more upbeat and i feel it suits the mood better. If i'm by myself though and can't decide what to listen to - illmatic and s.80 never fail.

Dec 15, 2014 tbh, i prefer section 80 over gkmc. but i think thats mostly due to me overplaying gkmc to s--- when it came out. for me section 80 has a lot more replay value. but both albums are at least a 9/10 for me.
