Mar 23, 2017 sxn 80 in a nutshell: >doesn't like tpab's jazz sound for whatever reason >s----s on kdots entire discography bc of this reason including the album the site is named after
Mar 23, 2017 id rather a fake interview with tupac addressing issues that need to be talked about over kanye's preachy Low Lights track with that stupid woman screeching at me yeah some kendrick fans are d----s
Mar 23, 2017 'for whatever reason' not everyone's a big fan of jazz music m8 some ppl like it when their music isn't all over the place with it's rhythm and actually has a consistent enjoyable melody instead of spazzing out all the time and why do i give a s--- what the site is named after? i'm not obligated to like the album just because of that
Mar 23, 2017 They're both useless and not needed. Kendricks would have been better off just coming up with his own speech.
Mar 23, 2017 i agree things like that aren't needed on a project, but no way TLOP gets a pass for doing that s--- when kendrick gets ripped apart on here for it lets just hope the only skits on this next album are like the GKMC ones
Mar 23, 2017 i dont think many people s--- on S80 or GKMC its just TPAB, people think it's either too corny or jazzy on here
Mar 23, 2017 The problem with Kendrick's is it builds up for the whole project and you're really interested in it, and it turns out to be like "ehhhh really dude?" Idk if you've ever seen A Christmas Story, but it's kinda of like when Ralphie (main character) listens for weeks to this radio show to reveal a secret code in the newspaper and the hidden message turns out to be "drink more ovaltine!" Whereas Low Lights I can just skip
Mar 23, 2017 i had never even heard that interview before Kendrick put it on the album and i know i couldnt have been the only person...imo it was a clever way to bring the interview to light a white person would love when a black person is being ignorant because its what they expect from black people to be stupid and ignorant...but when a black person wants to spread knowledge and teach ...theyre a "preacher" or "corny"
Mar 23, 2017 and for the record i never said i didnt like the Yeezus album ... but to say its better than Kendricks whole discog was a reach which is where the comparison came from....Yeezus wasnt THAT good but like i said in my last post ...white ppl love when black ppl are ignorant ...its entertainment for them
Mar 23, 2017 strange example but i get you but then again he released black friday out of the blue, no expectations and it's near my top 10 kendrick
Mar 23, 2017 I think the reason why most people didn't like it was because of the reason why everyone praised Kendrick in the first place. He was really the only artist that talked about issues going on in his community while making bangers. I didn't like TPAB when it first came out, once the hype died I went back and thought it was amazing.
Mar 23, 2017 Both ignorant music and knowledgeable music can exist from black artists. Kanye has made both. I like all his music not just his ignorant music. If it's executed properly, it's enjoyable. I'm just not a fan of TPAB, but i don't have some secret motive to suppress black people. And at the same time just because the message in music is good, doesn't mean the music itself is good. I applaud Kendrick for what he wanted to get across, I'm just not a fan of how it turned out musically.
Mar 23, 2017 first of all i hate how the assumtion is that i want you to like the album ...im not asking you to like TPAB or buy it or listen to it or sleep with it at night ...i stated my view on why i thought the interview was dope... and im not saying that both dont exist i know that it does...but lets be honest here....the enlighted rap music is not what people are buying (unless it comes from someone like Eminem or Logic) when it comes to black people...... people are buying and ultimately supporting trap music or music that express black culture ignorantly
