Jan 22, 2015 well with kendrick dropping first singles like "i", it'd be a VERY safe bet to say drake'll sell more. as far as the better first week sales, it depends on how Kendrick treats the release.
Jan 22, 2015 I'm not saying Kendrick doesn't have a great chance, I'm just saying Drake will probably win. He's been working non stop since NWTS dropped - he's done 2 major tours and released a plethora of throwaways. He's also the biggest name in rap right now, that's pretty much irrefutable. I'm not saying he'll outsell him by a land slide, but he'll outsell him. Also the question is flawed in the way that theres no guarantee they're dropping at similar times. If Kendrick drops in February and Drake drops in October, that's not really fair.
Jan 22, 2015 Definitely Drake. Kendrick has a lot of hype, but I feel as though Drake has a lot more.
Jan 22, 2015 Also between the two of these, ones a unanimous classic, one is a great album. Being 2nd on every 'top 100 of the decade so far' list helps sales
Jan 22, 2015 Drakes more mainstream/radio friendly and he's got a bigger audience, he's def gonna sell more
Jan 22, 2015 difference is, before gkmc Kendrick wasnt really that huge now that most casual listener consider gkmc to be classic..you in for a surprise
Jan 22, 2015 Drake will sell like 100k more 1st week and maybe 200k overall but Kendrick will have a better album by far
Jan 22, 2015 Nah just on SL but SL was dumb as fucc with this project. Most the posters who hated it then came around and like it now. TML is his worst release to date (his debut) and it's still a 7.5/10
