Jul 1, 2015 Kendrick Lamar opened up the BET Awards on Sunday night with a phenomenal performance of “Alright.” He stood on a cop car covered in graffiti and the American flag flew behind him as he rapped to the crowd, “We gon’ be alright.” But not everyone was moved by his appearance. During an episode of Fox News’ “The Five,” pundits claimed Lamar’s performance “incites violence” by rapping lyrics like, “We hate po-po/ Wanna k--- us dead in the street fo sho.” “This is why I say that hip-hop has done more damage to young African Americans than racism in recent years,” said Geraldo Rivera, who made similar comments in an appearance on HuffPost Live. “This is exactly the wrong message. Then to conflate what happened in the Charleston church in South Carolina with the tragic incidents involving excessive use of force by cops is to equate that racist killer with these cops. It’s so wrong. It’s so counterproductive.” “It incites violence,” said one pundit, whose face wasn’t pictured when she made the comment. source: http://www.ew.com/article/2015/07/01/fox-news-kendrick-lamar-bet-performance lmao if only these clowns knew anything about kdot...

Jul 1, 2015 There was already a thread about this. Fox will never understand Hip Hop. And honestly who wants them to? They're unintelligent. An activist News organization pushing a conservative agenda. In all the recent polls, which viewers are the most consistently misinformed? Fox viewers. Not that the left leaning News organizations are any better. They may not be activists pushing an agenda BUT they are sensationalist and lazy. Never look to any TV News Corp. for context, especially not Fox.
